Play the 8th hole at Carnoustie with us and Danny.. a classic, short hole which is the first par 3 on the course.

This hole is frequently exposed to a swirling crosswind or a stiff breeze off the North Sea, making club selection a difficult one.

With the hole just out of site, we all thought Danny’s could have dropped… but unfortunately not on this occasion. He did make light work of a cracking birdie though.. 👏

“Forfar Golf Club holds a distinction no other golf course in the world can claim: it was the first golf course designed from inception as an 18-hole layout.

When founding member James Brodie invited Old Tom Morris to Forfar in 1871, every course in existence had either been extended to 18 holes after starting as a shorter layout or had its hole count reduced.

Forfar changed that permanently. Thirteen of Morris’s original greens remain in play today, making the Cunninghill layout one of the most authentically preserved examples of Victorian golf course design on the planet.”

• BRAID’S BEST ⭐️

“It is a landscape formed for agriculture, inherited by golf, and later shaped by two of the most important course architects in the history of the game.

Nowhere is this more clearly seen than at the 15th. Known as ‘Braid’s Best’ after Braid’s assessment of his own work, his original strategy of using three greenside bunkers has been recently restored.

In celebration of the centenary of Braid’s work, the reinstatement of the third bunker, which had been lost over time, restores an element of that original design, returning the hole closer to the challenge and character Braid intended.

The restoration comes during a period of renewed investment and focus at Forfar Golf Club, following its partnership with The Ancient Links Golf Company.”

Dunbar Golf Club has to be one of the most spectacular stretches of coastal golf in East Lothian.
Classic Scottish links, incredible views across the Firth of Forth and a course that deserves to be on every golfer’s bucket list.

@broragolfclub was special. ♥️

We caught it on a calm October evening, the course practically to ourselves with incredible views, rippled fairways and some of the very best greens we’ve played.

Our favourite hole? The par 3 9th. 🙌🏼

The 18th hole at Gullane Golf Club (No.1 course) is a fairly short, dramatic par 4 finish, that brings players back down into the centre of the town, offering scenic views with a classic Scottish links atmosphere.

Ben of course took on the big finish and nearly actually pulled it off.. before a closing 3 putt with @jjspaun watching over from the putting green 🥶 safe to say Bens never been more disappointed with a closing par!

For just $2,500, @rowallancastlegc’s “1263” international membership, named after the year the older of two castles on the Scotland property was constructed, includes the initial fees and dues through the end of 2027, with $2,000 of the fee designated as a credit for use at the club toward accommodation, guest green fees and cart fees, or toward the expenses of an extended trip in Scotland through Rowallan. 1263 members receive unlimited green fees and reduced green fees for family and guests for play on its 2014 design from @colinmontgomerie and Ross McMurray of @eurogolfdesign.
