Yoko Ono at The Broad... she was brilliant and the show was inspiring -- a deep thinker, an experimenter and a woman for the ages.

Well, he has a dorm! The kids in this building all have singles but he has access to a cool lounge/dining/kitchen area that is shared. They are 10 stories up and the view is incredible. First night is tonight and I have no doubt that he will be excited, perhaps feeling like all of the "new" is really really a lot but the kid is nothing if not chill. New school. New friends. Big new adventure. I wish for you, kiddo, that this is your best year yet! I love you so much. #newdorm #youvegotthis

Off to university: a 4 day trip from LA up the coast to the ferry at Port Angeles -- and seeing the Olympic Peninsula retreat behind the flag fluttering on the back of the boat brought home that this is a trip to the Great White North, to family (a trip through so much nature: fires, magnificent redwoods, the coast, a fierce storm which was a first for the kid) and, yes, it's all in the little moments when you're doing a big, big thing. #goingtouniversity #mykidisagreatdriver #proudmamamoments

Here we go! Hitting the road! So proud of this kid for how he is handling everything: it is so reassuring to a parent to know their kid is competent and capable. Whitney Sander we done good. Wishing all parents who have gone through and are going through this ritual courage and sending everyone love! #offtouni #soproudofmykid

It was incredible: humor, heartbreak, voices that caused chills and then the production?! The costumes, sets, sound lighting (honestly, the chandelier was the least of it!) truly blew my mind. Worth the trip down to Costa Mesa? Absolutely. #phantomoftheopera #megamusicalwithmegaartistry

First car -- what a huge moment in a teen's life! I remember mine -- do you remember yours?

First solo without an instructor in sight -- walk out to the plane, which is new(ish) to you, sit and study the instrument panel - not one you're used to, and then run pattern eleven times, landing with wind gusts (started a discussion with your local ATC tower and nearby pilots when you reported them) but wind, absolutely plenty of that, no doubt. Some landings smoother than others - having no passenger makes the plane leap off the runway and handle differently. Do you have a mama watching (and dad) so so so so proud at your seriousness and your commitment and your increasing skill? Yes, yes you do. #aviationteen #flyupinthesky #proudmama✈️

Happy Father's Day! You are an incredible dad - you give our kid the gift of unconditional love, support his dreams and have the same sense of humor. He is lucky to have you as a role model for what fatherhood can be. This day is about you and I hope you feel the gratitude and appreciation!! #bestdadever❤️

I AM SO PROUD OF OUR KID!! 4.0 society, Superintendent's Honor Roll, Double Major in Dance and Musical Theatre, International Thespian Society -- and so much more! He graduated Monday, celebrated Tuesday, picked up his diploma this morning and registered for classes at the University of Victoria this afternoon! Thank you so much everyone: it takes a village (more like international team of family and friends!) You know who you are: you are both legion and legendary and Whit and I could not have done this without each and every one of you! Thank you all. #UVic2030 @hamilton.ampa #proudmama
