I took a sketching class from @wildinksketch @wildink_artclass this summer and creating this art map of my childhood home has blessed me in so many ways.

We’ve had some heartbreak in our family the last 5 years as a family member went no contact with everyone. To not be able to relive memories over phone calls or visits has been really hard for me. So this art map has brought back some of those cherished memories that were previously forgotten. And it’s made it easier to tell our kids some of these stories as well. I love how emotional art can be and this one really is for me.

Make a tiny lift-the-flap garden card with @wildink_artclass. Lots of lovely ideas & prompts from Lucia. 😊🙏

This is a fold out, lift a flap card I made for a special friend. I was inspired by Lucia Leyfield's @wildinksketch @wildink_artclass terrific lift-a-flap garden buildings workshop, and it was a joy to create.

Yesterday I had the joy of taking one of @wildinksketch Wonky Line Drawing Art classes. I love her summer sessions that are a bit more relaxed and get the creative energy flowing.

This weeks @wildink_artclass class was based on journaling and making an art map. The prompt was to close your eyes walk through your childhood home (or a special place from your childhood). It was incredible the details I could remember and picture. And the memories.

I will add some color to it hopefully today to keep those memories fresh!

Last night I met with a friend and we followed @wildink_artclass video to sketch spring flowers. I loved trying out new techniques, and really looking at cowslips, which always remind me of my grandmother Min 😊.

These were the perfect sketches to fill my little homemade notebook, that I had been reluctant to draw in! Sticking them onto the purple background really brought them to life. (the front cover is not my artwork, but an old greetings card that I used because it fit perfectly!)

A little light and rough-as-guts daily journaling is such a positivity boost. Its just for me. I like to remember little moments and to find the names of things plus little sayings/whakatauki that help me understand plants and different approaches to plants and situations.

Day 91/100 of the #100dayproject2026 and my theme is 100 days of tea time.

I am not much of a writer, let alone writing poems. But in her Wonky Line Workshop last Thursday Lucia Leyfield @wildink_artclass made it really simple to do all this.
During the workshop I tried to stay close to my current subject, so the poem is called The Teapot.
Now a little warning in advance should you want or be able to read my scribbles: English is not my mother tongue, so apologies in advance.

Fleamarketry @centralflea and 'foraged' sweet violets. I'm playing about with different ways of recording my day (almost my perfect day) as per a little drawing and journaling course I am doing online with @wildink_artclass. It's making me look at everyday objects differently snd to fund the quirks and whimsicality around me every day.

If you want to try, start with a list of things you saw and a list of things you did. It's a personal record and not generally for consumption but I'm enjoying the looseness and low stakes of it.

Day 55/100 of the #100dayproject2026 and my theme is 100 days of tea time

Thank you @wildink_artclass @wildinksketch for a fabulous workshop last night. I absolutely enjoyed the tasks for drawing and writing. I am not much of writing person but this time I felt it was so easy to do.

Pencil on flimsy copier paper glued into my sketchbook.

Galet roligt!!!!
