We’re here in the final week of our sketchbook scavenger hunt. I hope this little series has helped you look a bit closer, notice the small things, and feel a bit more at ease with your sketchbook (even if it’s mostly filled with doodles on scraps and half-finished thoughts—that’s often the best kind). This week’s prompts are softer, quieter. They’re about scent, sound, texture, memory, and the kind of noticing that’s just for you. * Something that makes a soft sound * Something that is Summer * Something round that’s not a ball * An object with a scent * A surface that feels rough * Something that doesn’t belong * A natural object shaped like a letter * Something you almost missed * An object that feels like a secret * A collection of objects that tell a story * Something you found—a treasure of your hunt—that wasn’t on the list Find all the details of the project in my Substack newsletter plus a printable pdf. This week, I want to encourage you to let go of the neatness, and just gather things however they come. Scraps, fragments, textures, little notes. It all adds up. Look at these prompts as small, quick and fun ways to notice things during the day or an opportunity to make a tiny thing. (If you’re new, you can catch up on the previous week’s sketchbook scavenger hunt posts via the newsletter link in my bio) A special focus on one of this week’s prompts: “Something broken but still beautiful” This is one of my favourites. There’s something very comforting about things that are imperfect but still full of character. You might notice: * A cracked teacup that’s still used daily * A leaf that’s been half-eaten * A snapped pencil, a rusty hinge, a torn label * An old item that’s worn down but well-loved Week 3 Prompts * A sketch of your scavenger hunt ‘map’ * Five things that rustle (List and/or draw) * Something broken but still beautiful * A self-portrait as a scavenger/hunter * Something that feels warm * An item that catches the wind * Something hidden in plain sight * Something that makes you smile * An item you could fit in your pocket * Something that’s always moving * An object that’s older than it looks You don’t need to do them all—just pick what feels fun or interesting and follow that. #sketchbookprompts #sketchbookscavengerhunt25 #sketchbookscavengerhunt #visualjournal #illustrateddiary #illustration_art #wildinkartclass @wildinksketch #lucialeyfield by @wildink_artclass
