I’m in awe of people who often draw their surroundings and build up a fantastic personal sketchbook. I carry this tiny sketch book on my travels but rarely get round to using it. This time I managed to grab a few moments sitting in a bar overlooking the Promenade des Anglais in Nice and drew some plants while the people around me chatted about their adventures. Somehow I had forgotten both my drawing pen and my pencil so I used an ordinary black pen with my portable watercolours. At least I drew something!

If you want to see some brilliant sketchbooks see Lucia Leyfield @wildinksketch whose work is amazing!

This is a fold out, lift a flap card I made for a special friend. I was inspired by Lucia Leyfield's @wildinksketch @wildink_artclass terrific lift-a-flap garden buildings workshop, and it was a joy to create.

Yesterday I had the joy of taking one of @wildinksketch Wonky Line Drawing Art classes. I love her summer sessions that are a bit more relaxed and get the creative energy flowing.

This weeks @wildink_artclass class was based on journaling and making an art map. The prompt was to close your eyes walk through your childhood home (or a special place from your childhood). It was incredible the details I could remember and picture. And the memories.

I will add some color to it hopefully today to keep those memories fresh!

Needed something today to concentrate on, so started @wildinksketch Box Journaling Workshop and had a lovely time journaling about my daily dog walk, noticing the little things and then drawing them. Low pressure as you only have a little box to fill. A great escape ❤️ xx #boxjournaling #minisketches

Day 91/100 of the #100dayproject2026 and my theme is 100 days of tea time.

I am not much of a writer, let alone writing poems. But in her Wonky Line Workshop last Thursday Lucia Leyfield @wildink_artclass made it really simple to do all this.
During the workshop I tried to stay close to my current subject, so the poem is called The Teapot.
Now a little warning in advance should you want or be able to read my scribbles: English is not my mother tongue, so apologies in advance.

I think it was 2 years ago - maybe more - that I did my first watercolour class - over 2 days at Nicki’s @nickifranklin_needlework studio. Lovely @valerianstudio Was the teacher and I had the best 2 days! One of the things we did was to paint a seed packet in a stunning hand made book that she had made for each of us. I was inspired to paint but sadly never picked up the brush since. Then a couple of weeks ago I decided to start doing some box journalling on most days. I am not that good but loving it! I treated myself to a small handmade book on etsy from @lavendergreenbooks . The picture does not do this beautiful book justice. Then yesterday I did some planting with my youngest and I knew what I was going to do in my new book! Paint the seed packets and plant labels that I use this year. So I have made a start. What do you think? Thank you so much to everyone who is encouraging and supporting me - it truly does mean the world. Thank you. #watercolour #paint #seedpackets #journalling #handmade
