Start of 3rd Grade | Playing up 5th/6th Fall Prem League |
Single game breakdown | Tall lefty guard loading 🧬⏳ |
4’11”… | c/o 2036

Ellie is learning and growing as a PG and a leader. We’re excited by her communication, vision, ability to operate the offense with ambidexterity, and passing with either hand. She is showing to be an unselfish, pass first point guard, but she’s learning how and when to find her jump shot.

She’s been working very hard on her right hand finishing and passing lately. She’s also been working on pace and mis-direction.

Still a long way to go + grow 🏁

Soccer season, but still stacking development days in the gym. Encouraging her to explore and create. We continue to refine mechanics, but she’s off to a great start!

We’re also introducing strength, agility + plyos. Teaching her how to move. Building the athlete. A long way to go and grow. 4’11” now, projected to be 6’1-6’3” range 🧬

Different sports. Different movements. ⚽️🏀
Keep developing. Keep Growing. Keep Going. 🏁

I got the chance to talk with Ty Smith from @operationstanddown about what being a veteran means to him, advice for young people considering military service, tips for transitioning to civilian life and what motivated him to keep going every day!

Top 6 😤 Great growth experience for the squad. Had a lot of exciting moments throughout the week. 8 games in 4 days isn’t for the weak. Proud of these boys! 🚀 s/o @aaubasketball for a great event

Ellie Buckets | Grade 2 - Age 8 | Expanding Ellie’s range off the dribble 🏹

Ellie’s footwork, form, and rhythm, are being developed comfortably from close-range and mid-range. Occasionally we allow her to experiment from further out, which helps her learn how to generate more power, but we’re careful to not introduce bad form habits that she could retain. (Limited reps from distance, immediately followed with mid-range form shots).

This practice also helps us shape the trajectory and next phase of her shot development. Still a long way to go and grow 📈

(Ellie has been asking us to make a “Katniss Everdeen” basketball video 😅😂🏹🏹🏹)
