This was a special couple workouts! ONLY 10 years old! Flew in from Kansas City! Just finished the 5th grade and he’s the best 10 year old I’ve ever worked with. He understands pace, he has a quick release, he has range, and he has urgency! And he’s only 10!!! @will.ostertag keep being level headed, keep pushing yourself game speed in everything you do, and the future is YOURS!! @blackops.basketball taken in Summit NYC by @will.ostertag

Grade 5 AAU Worlds | 4th QTR: 15 pts in 3.5 mins
🎥 Buckets + impact plays | MO vs GA

Awesome back+forth game vs a great MDA team (GA)! 🫡

Had fun putting this together with Will and incorporating sound bites from @stephencurry30 ‘s Olympic highlights (still watched regularly here 😎). 🫡 to @noaheagle15 + @dwyanewade for the legendary calls from those games!

***Overdue to post some highlights from AAU worlds in July (part 1 of 3 maybe 😅🤷‍♂️)

So many lessons learned from this game, and the others on our trip to Orlando for AAU Worlds. Believe in yourself, and maintain focus on the next play. Trust your process… the work will show. Stay shot ready. Compete, and lead. Be a great teammate.

Soccer season, but still stacking development days in the gym. Encouraging her to explore and create. We continue to refine mechanics, but she’s off to a great start!

We’re also introducing strength, agility + plyos. Teaching her how to move. Building the athlete. A long way to go and grow. 4’11” now, projected to be 6’1-6’3” range 🧬

Falling in love with the process. Earning it daily.

Grade 5 | Years of @grindhousebasketball work is showing.

Clips from our seminal in Minnesota against my friends from EWA, who always compete!

Marcus taught me how to move, create space, and score efficiently. More importantly, he instilled a passion for the game, the discipline to work every day, and a love for the process. He taught me to embrace being challenged - that real growth happens through failure, discomfort, and persistence.

It truly takes a village. Special thanks to all of our friends, family, coaches, and teammates who continue to encourage and support me on this journey. 🙏

Post 5th Grade Summer | Stacking Development Days | Earning it Daily

8:17 PM Monday night. One last challenge before free throw cool-downs. A great way to end a day that included:

✓ Morning strength session
✓ Backyard wiffle ball with friends
✓ Handle work
✓ 1v1 reps vs older comp
✓ Game-action shooting
✓ Free throw cool-down: 150/156

Making the most of summer, staying busy with wiffle ball, camps, fishing, swimming, World Cup ⚽️ and Brewers baseball ⚾️

Next up: Minnesota tourney, followed by visiting family in WI and Winneconne Wolves basketball camp!

Grade 5 | Planting seeds daily for the player - and body - he’ll grow into 🔮 🌱💧☀️🌲 🏁

He’s learning to be an efficient scorer/playmaker, with economical and purposeful movement + footwork 🛠️🧰

Will caught this tough bucket from @quinncostelloo while watching the McDonalds All-American game and immediately thought of a similar bucket he had earlier this winter - and he recognized the footwork from game action reps he had been doing in the lab🧪
