POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

we gathered some fragments of our A/V set for the Royal Library of Belgium @kbrbe during last weeks @museumnightfever

a soundscape inspired by 15th century hymns and choral chants, based off works, themes and impressions from @kbrbe's collection of ancient manuscripts

@yliamsk7 drew, painted and wrote in real time to the music - filmed by a camera from above and projected onto an enormous screen

they used Chinese ink to weave their Asian influences in calligraphy together with Western ones - inspired by the texts and themes found in the music, as well as by the works in the museum’s collection

all brought together by the atmospheric lighting and audio technical skills of @kibow.mp3

eternally grateful and beyond words to describe our thanks to @museumnightfever @kbrbe for helping us put together this fever dream of a night

an audio recording of the set is available on mixcloud, through the link in bio

we've written quite some material along the previous months - high time to dive into the studio this fall to start recording

This is Mohammed, my orphaned nephew. We were on our way to collect water, but the moment he saw other children playing, he set the container down and ran to join them.

Even in the midst of destruction, he is still trying to enjoy his childhood, if only for a few precious moments.

Every donation and every share of our campaign gives children like Mohammed a chance for a safer, more hopeful future.

Thank you to everyone who stands with us. ❤️

By yours truly,
Vzweetje 😍 @Stelplaats!
