Chestburster rig for the preshow for Aliens in 70mm at @musicboxchicago to kick off October!! 👽👽👽

I sculpted the wee guy and made a plaster mold of him so that I could cast it with a layer of latex. I added some support with a flexible two-part foam so he kept his shape, but still made sure he remained hollow so I could slip him on top of a spring. I attached those into a cardboard tube that sat within a foam chestpiece. Then I built some texture around the base with a foam clay before painting it all and adding elastic straps. To allow him to pop out at the right time, he was able to be squished into the carboard tube and held in place using a metal pin so that in one fell swoop the shirt could be ripped open, the pin could be pulled, and the chest could be burst! Stuffed some confetti in there for theatrics before Matt @moviehousecomics put him on and gave an Oscar winning alien-infected performance.

All of this was preceded by some wonderful alien egg action where one of the eggs opened (!!!) and a facehugger sprung on Matt. The eggs were created by Josh @blackened_pages , thanks for joining us on this!

Thanks Matt for having him and bursting for the cause. Happy October!!! 🎃🎃🎃

She puts the BUTT in button OKAY 🍑✨

Next preview from 🎃HALLOWEEN PARTY 🎃drop: New Cinema Sweeties buttons! We love our favorite movie babes so much, we had to cover alllll of our clothes with them. These 2.25” holographic heart (and new star!) shaped buttons have 4 different finishes: glitter with stars, confetti, traditional holographic, and oil slick hearts.

Obv I am obsessed with the Pee-wee & Elvira one, but Belial in a toilet and PSH are also top picks for me. 🎬

Big thanks to my girlie @yooyooblue for this rad photoshoot idea and for being my model 💋 along with @isa.fav.makes. They’re the best ♥️

These buttons (and much more 👀) will be in PART 1 of the HALLOWEEN PARTY drop that will be available at 3pm on September 29th. This will have a short shipping window so you can have it in time for Halloween! And there will be a PART 2 of this big drop in October. Lots of sick shit is coming! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s preview! ♥️🧡📼👻🎃

🎞️Experimental test roll of @grafx.world ‘s new “hot ink” pre-exposed 35mm film stock.

After seeing the new stock show up in my local @bellowsfilmlab , I wanted to contrast the dense ink look with a heavy contrast environment. For some reason I thought late street photography on a typical night out in Wrigleyville would be the best test, and I was not disappointed :)

Extra shout to the team that ran the horror sketch we did before every single Castle screening.

Yall, we are a movie theater. These kind of things do not happen at movie theaters. So please drown these people with love and appreciation because they are changing the game.

Other movie theaters, assemble your team and start doing this.
