Hand-painted marquee letters for Daniel Knox’s “Twin Peaks: Moving Through Time” (@danielknoxmusic & @movingthroughtimeorg) at @musicboxchicago. The translucent green is car headlight tint cut out with an X-Acto blade! In the sun, the brown of the inner text is visible and so so beautiful.

Biggest thanks to @lucy.sloan for helping to paint in the eleventh hour. Thank you to @scribbles.em for saving the day with emergency burnt umber acrylic and a much-needed paint brush. Thank you @thecheapsoap and @moviehousecomics for being the best ladder movers/ securers. Thank you Brian & @scribbles.em for pulling the extra letters. Love to @isa.fav.makes for spotting and making sure the letters were aligned *just* right. Huge thanks to @boxofficebust and Ally B. for leading the decorating charge. Thank you @curtismatzke for capturing these guys & lots of the decor on your camera.

Everything you see at the theatre has been ideated, made, and helped along by so many people. It’s the very best part of this job. All the love to everyone who makes the theatre what it is. taken in Music Box Theatre by @yooyooblue

Airbrushed marquee for William Castle’s “The Tingler.” First time using an airbrush and a particulate mask, both rocked. You have one more chance to catch the film (or a tingler) in PERCEPTO! on Tuesday night at 7pm… wait… did you just feel that too? taken in Music Box Theatre by @yooyooblue
