One of the reasons I added Wörthersee 2014 to the Audi Archives was just how crazy seriously Audi and VW embraced their enthusiast culture. Look closely at these shots and you’ll see a young Rouven Mohr (current Audi head of development), Dr. Ferdinand Piëch (chairman of the supervisory board 2014 and legend outright) and his wife Ursula, Ulrich Hackenberg (Audi head of development 2014), Martin Winterkorn (cEO VW Group 2014), Rupert Stadler (CEO Audi AG 2014), Marc Lichte (Audi design chief 2014) and Heinz Hollerwger (head of quattro GmBH 2014). They all@walked around Wörthersee, attending because they saw the value of the car culture that surrounds their brands. It was an incredible era and I think something the group would do well to remember and shift the corporate culture to one driven by passion at a level of authenticity that didn’t need to be explained.

Know how you can tell authentic 80s photos with no AI? We weren’t optimized for portraits on Instagram. Welcome to 1988-1990 in Pennsylvania. Here’s a mix of the coolest people with whom one might approach yet delay the act of adulting. I’m married to one of them, stay in contact with several and listen to one on NPR. They’re all rad. by @tartansix

@jonnylieberman drove the @audi Nuvolari at Monterey Car Week so we definitely had to have him on the podcast to talk about it, car week, Lamborghini, Bugatti and more. Link below and in my stories.

Out shooting the Nogaro @audi TT. Im using it for a preservation and mild upgrade series on @ooooiykyk and @tailoreddriver. This upcoming story will center on refinishing some severely curbed 18-inch period OEM wheels (by @wheelcollisioncenter and @vredesteintires Ultrac Pro tires with sidewall design by @italdesign_official that’s got a lot of history with and is currently partially owned by Audi AG.

These car will be on display at the @vwvortex tent at @loeshowofficial next week.

These are just some mobile snaps and video once I’d gotten what I’d needed and the sun was beginning to dip. More to come off the DSLR when the story publishes next week. taken in Hershey, Pennsylvania by @tartansix

I was in highschool AND the friend zone. She eventually married me. Take that John Hughes. It’s been 30 years since then and time has flown. Happy anniversary @dmla7. by @tartansix

Seemed like the right book to bring on a trip through Italy and Monaco. Too bad we aren’t going to Mantua. I also didn’t realize Tazio had such a rivalry with Achilles Varzi.
