A dream 💭 I cannot get over @gracierf ‼️ Thank you for your magic Grace. Thank you @tender____________ for allowing us to get so very tender. Beyond grateful for everyone who came to Unstruck. What spaces we cultivated together! Forever humbled and cracked wide open by witnessing the unfurling, rewriting and realisations that happen here. No fixing or force. Just safety, support and space to let whatever is alive be held and move. Such an honour to hold so many new people and, as always, my darling regs! Not sure what’s coming next but that was so freaking awesome there will be something very 🔜 no doubt… but for now, revelling and in awe 🌬️🎐🕯️🌸 by @tender_spaces

Join me and @genevieve___fry this Sunday 3 October for Unstruck @tender____________ I will be guiding the room in Breathwork Mastery while Gen will be playing harp to meet each moment that arises. Nothing preordained, no agenda, just a willingness to trust the process, the unfolding and being with what is. What happens when you make no feeling, sensation, thought wrong? What happens then, if you validate and amplify that experience. Tickets are in my bio. 🌹 Video of @ab.ss.s at our first Unstruck. @gracierf will play on October 18. by @tender_spaces

Yesterday we came together for the first Unstruck. We landed with open hearts and minds to find out what it wanted to be.

There was something about the trams and the people walking and talking past @tender____________ on Sydney Rd, the hum of the world, beneath Abby’s sounds, that allowed us to find the unstruck note in amongst the noise, not seperate from it.

Each person offered an intention to the space, and in the centre of the room we built an altar of flowers in bloom. This morning I took the flowers down to the creek and gave them to the water to keep them on their way.

Afterwards Abby and I spoke about her approach to the sound, so slow and unhurried. In somatic therapy, rushing yourself to heal, or pushing through discomfort, can signal threat to the body and tip you into fight, flight or freeze. When you move at the pace of the slowest, most vulnerable part of you, your nervous system can settle. In Breathwork Mastery we call this ‘step by integrated step’. This is what Abby’s playing invited us into. Nothing was rushed, nothing was pushed. Each moment was met with so much space, grace and breath.

So grateful to those who came, and for your trust and your willingness to be in something new.

Thank you Abby @ab.ss.s

Two more Unstruck sessions to come. @genevieve___fry plays October 4 and @gracierf plays October 18. Link in bio for tickets. Thank you @joshua_arvy_so for the beautiful photos 💙 by @tender_spaces

~Unstruck~1

Sunday 20 September
2 – 4pm
@tender_place_
$75 / $65 / $50
(This is the first of a three part series. Following this will be sessions with @genevieve___fry and @gracierf)

This practice has been with me for four years. It has awakened my heart, ignited my creativity, my purpose and connected me to my Self and the divine.

By tapping into ancient wellsprings of knowing, truth and beauty that is innate within each of us, the breath can bring forth meaningful symbols, visions and messages that help us unburden from conditioning and opens us to the possibility of living a life of limitless potential. Flowers for our altar will be provided by high priestesses @xflos__

The practice is safe for all bodies. It has no contraindications, the breath is easy and relaxed. You’ll be lying down for an hour, so bring whatever your body needs to be comfortable on the floor, or let me know if you require support.

If you’re pregnant, neurodivergent, grieving, disabled, chronically ill or just unsure whether this is for you, message me and we’ll talk it through. (Tender is at street level / up one flight of stairs / has an accessible bathroom.) No experience is needed. There’s nothing to get right.

Mob tickets are free, email me at hello@sunnihart.com to arrange.

Any other questions, message me. I would love to see you there.

I am so excited to introduce Unstruck.

There is a sound that continues uncaused, on its own. The yogic tradition calls it unstruck, it is the note underneath every other note. It’s the word used for the heart, because a heartbeat simply sounds, on its own, for as long as it beats.

Unstruck is a live breathwork series facilitated by Sunni Hart alongside an incredible line up of musicians. In this space the sound and musician are active participants too. Each will play with presence and in the words of Grace Ferguson “the relationship between intention, improvisation, and what remains beyond control.”

Sound becomes another way in, alongside breath, both moving toward what’s rising and what’s ready to move. Toward the unstruck place within each of us.

Each person will be invited to add a flower to a mandala as the session evolves, in the spirit of spring, intention, interconnectedness, or whatever it is you feel called to contribute. Beautiful blooms will be generously donated by @xflos__ 🌷

20 September, cello, Abby Sundborn 🎻
4 October, harp, Genevieve Fry 🪉
18 October, piano, Grace Ferguson 🎹

Discounted tickets for First Nations folks available.

This is long! Maybe too long! I’ll get better at this. It’s been a while. I’ve been shy. There’s a lot to say by @tender_spaces

Earlier this month, participants gathered within Rose Nolan: Breathing Helps for a guided breathwork session, lying and sitting on Nolan’s sculptural carpet work, ‘Big Words (Not Mine): Transcend the poverty of partial vision’, using the breath to explore their own inner landscapes amid the rhythm, repetition and scale of Nolan’s work.

As the breath slowed, so too did perception. Together, we explored what happens when the body feels safe enough to soften and meet ourselves, the world, and art with greater curiosity.

✨ Join Sunni Hart for the next, and final session, and experience Rose Nolan: Breathing Helps in a state of post-breath receptivity, as the exhibition enters its closing weeks.

Friday 7 November, 11am—1pm

When I left birth work after six years of it being my whole entire world, it felt final. Lately, however, we’ve come full circle and I’ve been lucky enough to start supporting several people who are pregnant, only this time with the breath as the guide, the teacher, the medicine, the thread that runs through it all.

These sessions bring together everything I know to be true about birth with everything breathwork has taught me. It’s thrilling to return with new awareness deeply embodied in my being, to be in my integrity and to fully trust in each persons process no matter how it unfolds. The sessions we have together are co-created, intuitive, alive. The breath shows us what’s ready to be met.

Landing here brings me back to Fox’s birth. With barely any other signs of labour, my waters broke and I was suddenly thrust into full, fast labour. No slow build or time to prepare. I thought I was transcending but after having a truly transcendent second birth, I now know I was just disassociating 😅. My friend Nell, my doula, noticed I was exhaling beautifully, moaning, swaying but barely inhaling. I was releasing but never meeting. That small observation changed everything.

The inhale is the yes, it is the rise to meet the moment. It’s how we gather ourselves to be with the intensity. The exhale is the softening, the letting go. Breathwork helped me understand that both are needed, in birth and in life.

Coming back to birth work now, through breath, feels like the most natural return. Breathwork gives us the opportunity to BE WITH, to be in process, in pain, in discomfort, in awe, in joy, in surrender, in rest. Breathwork moves us from suppression to full expression. This conversation between body, baby and being. by @tender_spaces

It’s wild how something that once had such a grip on us can one day feel like it never existed.

That’s what integration feels like.

The triggers lose their charge. The stories lose their weight. The body stops bracing for impact.

In this chat with @three_chords_is_jazz , we dive into what happens when we process old emotional patterns through Breathwork — how the body remembers until it finally doesn’t have to.

This is what freedom feels like.

An invitation to slow down and experience the Museum, the art and the self, through breath.

This two-part Breathwork series invites visitors to engage with Rose Nolan: Breathing Helps not just as an exhibition to view, but as a space to enter with their whole body.

Lying directly on Nolan’s sculptural carpet work, 'Big Words (Not Mine): Transcend the poverty of partial vision', participants are guided through gentle breathwork practices that explore presence, rhythm, and spacious attention echoing the repetition and materiality found in Nolan’s work.

What is breathwork? Breathwork is a gentle, body-based practice that supports nervous system regulation and emotional clarity. It helps quiet the mind, deepen awareness, and foster a sense of connection.

These sessions are inspired by Nolan’s pared-back aesthetic and themes of space, movement, and care. They offer a sensory experience that fosters a deeper relationship with the artworks, the Museum environment, and your own inner landscape. Each session is an opportunity to notice what lies beneath the surface of language, of form, and of feeling.

This event is facilitated by Sunni Hart. In 2024, Sunni received the International Certificate of Rebirthing Breathwork Mastery, from The School of Breathwork with Eleanor Mann in partnership with Alakh Analda and is a member of the Australian Breathwork Association, which upholds national standards for training, ethics, continuing education and supervision.

This session is open to everyone and suitable for all experience levels.
