This handsome, easy going guy Jerry is looking for a new home.

He’s about as mellow as they come-a big lovable rug who is perfectly happy lounging around the house. He loves people, loves other dogs and has a wonderfully relaxed, low-key personality. He really doesn’t ask for much and would make a wonderful companion to someone wanting an easy going dog.

He would do best in a home without small children. There was an unfortunate incident when he was asleep and a young child approached and startled him. We’re happy to talk openly to anyone seriously interested in him.

I have cared for sweet Jerry for years and he holds a special place in my heart. I’d really love to see him find a wonderful home.🤍🖤 taken in Eagle Rock/Highland Park by @teresaapollo

Caroline usually sleeps on the park grass that is down the street from my house, but since the weather has been cold and rainy she has moved to the sidewalks. She is 64 years old and has been homeless for over 15 years.

We had a lovely conversation about this precious human life. She shared about her time in college, her concerns about losing her 90 year old mother, and the one time she was “almost pregnant.”

She said something that I will never forget, she said, “Yeah, you just got to be grateful that you are alive. I’m grateful that I can walk.”

“The clouds that wander through the sky, have no roots, no home, nor do any of the particular thoughts floating through the mind. Once this mind of awareness is recognized, separateness drops away.”
