-Bees are buzzing.
-Trees are climbed and cared for.
-Orchards are planted.
-Forest treasures found for the nature shelf.

Large cottonwood, every single piece had to be rigged out! Tree was overhanging two houses, a/c units, fences, shed, tree below not to be damaged and a hot tub with all the mechanical equipment exposed.
Postponements through snow, rain and wind last week, thanks April. Strong finish on the sunny Saturday! Pleasure working with @silvanustreeservice as always! by @terranovatrees

Shiitake Log Inoculation, a wonderful repurposing of otherwise “waste” wood.
It’s as simple as:
1: Drill holes
2: Inoculate holes with mushroom spawn
3: Seal holes with wax
4: Practice patience, they’ll begin to produce next fall.

Each log will last 5 years, producing each year (less and less each year as they age). At peak, each log is capable of producing up to 1 pound of mushrooms in a flush.

A delicious, nutritious, and fun way to add more “wild food” to the property, while repurposing dead oaks. by @terranovatrees

Took on a large scale project this week. A hazardous dead cottonwood in a backyard, 5ft diameter and had a great time doing it. Thanks for coming on the adventure @silvanustreeservice I couldn’t have done it without you. by @terranovatrees
