Have been experimenting in the kitchen of late. I always make my food from scratch and I always read my ingredients, but I never tried butter as I found a great grass fed one, so I thought it was easy. Well was I wrong. I had so much fun making this and it was from a $2.50 full cream that had 3 days left in expiry so what do you do with that. Freeze it or make butter. It made so much butter it is getting gifted and we still have heaps. To top it all off you get extra from the process and that is buttermilk. So many things you can make with just that. To think for 18+ years we couldn’t even have dairy and now there is lashings of homemade butter on homemade sourdough bread. It’s the simple things that bring you together. Take the time to read your ingredients and really try and swap things out as less ingredients is always best. This homemade butter has two ingredients: pure cream and salt. Just a side note please don’t use thickened cream as it is full of nasties. #theinclusivekitchen #tik #enjoyandfollowformore #cookingfromscratch #homemadebutter by @the.inclusive.kitchen

My baby Shirley is growing. A labour of love trying to perfect my sourdough. Yes Shirley is her name. Having so much fun along the way. #theinclusivekitchen #tik #sourdough #sourdoughbaking #sourdoughbread by @the.inclusive.kitchen

I was gifted sourdough starter and now I have am down the rabbit hole of sourdough experimentation. I am having a ball learning and baking breads, hot cross buns, focaccia and even my own crackers with much more experimenting to follow. Learn what is in your food and what those ingredients do to you. Make as much as you can from scratch as you are in control and it is cheaper and better for you. #sourdough #cookingfromscratch #allergyfriendly #lowtoxicliving #livechemicalfree by @the.inclusive.kitchen

Keep it simple otherwise it becomes too hard. The most important thing is to really know what’s in your food. All the processed food on the shelf is full of preservatives, additives, thickeners and things that are made to replicate other ingredients. Know what the substitutes are really all about. Sugar free is definitely something to investigate. It’s not what you think it is. This causes havoc in the body. Please 🙏 educate yourself on what you’re eating. These egg cups are just pasture raised eggs and some organic feta with salt and pepper. That’s it. by @the.inclusive.kitchen

Stuffed capsicums are a great way to add vegetables to your meals. Eat them on their own or add with some extra protein. I stuff them with risotto with mince meat, peas and Parmesan. A winner in my house. Give them a try. #TIK #stuffed peppers #theinclusivekitchen #eggfree #glutenfree #allergyfriendly #enjoyandfollowformore by @the.inclusive.kitchen

What do lemons create that is absolutely amazing. It is the viral orange cake turned lemon. This is moist, lemony (if that’s a word) and bloody delicious. I made a double batch to make the cake bigger (cakes don’t last in my house). This is a gluten free wonder but you can swap the almond flour to SR flour. Give it a go with a lemon or an orange… either way you will love it. The weather is changing and this is when we want comfort food. It is so easy to run to the shops and buy ready made sweets that are full of crappy ingredients and sugars. For the time that you drive to the shops, buy what you desire eating, then drive home you can make a simple dessert like this yummy apple crumble, that is made from scratch and doesn’t contain all the nasty preservatives and artificial colours. Know what’s in your food and use good quality ingredients. Wax free apples, no refined sugars and grass fed butter, and pasture raised eggs. Small changes but better for your gut and body than all the nasty oils and fake ingredients. Can be made Gluten free and dairy free just use your substitutes. Keep it simple. Your body will say thank you. #TIK #theinclusivekitchen #grassfedbutter #pastureraisedeggs #organic #applecrumble #cookingfromscratch #keepitsimple by @the.inclusive.kitchen

This recipe will make so many meals from burrito bowls to tacos. Pulled Beef is a great way to add more iron to your menu. Use chuck steak as it is great for slow cooking. Add 1 clove of garlic to your pan with olive oil. Add some @mingleseasoning (taco) and coriander and cook. Sear your chuck steak until brown. In a saucepan add a can of diced tomatoes, 2 tbs paprika, maple syrup, 1tbs apple cider vinegar and wostershire sauce, and some dried coriander. Cook till combined and thickens a little. Once meat is browned add sauce and let it cook until you can pull the beef. You can also use this recipe for Pulled Pork where you would do the same with a pork shoulder. #Enjoy and follow for more. #TIK #theinclusivekitchen #pulledbeef #burritobowls #mexican #mingleseasoning #allergyfriendly #allergyfriendlyfood by @the.inclusive.kitchen

Keep it simple and it will reward you. Nothing beats calamari. Make sure you purchase good quality seafood and watch where it comes from. Wild caught seafood is always better than farmed. It is these little things that will make a meal 100 times better but also will help the way you feel. Deep fried is not the way you want to cook always but once in a while it is ok. It is a quicker process than shallow frying which is drowned in oil. Always use good quality oil like Olive oil or Avocado Oil. Dont use Vegetable or Canola as they are high Inflammatory Oils. You can adapt this recipe to suit your allergies. Instead of wheat flour use Gluten Free Flour. Coat calamari in flour with fresh lemon zest, salt, pepper and @mingleseasoning lemon and herb bbq and that is it. Deep fry for 2-3 min or until golden brown and make sure to let them sit so the oil can drip. Then season with a sprinkle of salt. Add to your favourite salad. I love rocket, pear and Parmesan salad but you do you.
