🌬️“The Dissolving Dance” 🌦️ born from The Dissolving Cloud a year in motion, a lifetime in reflection. Every sweetness, every goodness, every love dissolves back into Allah, to Whom all praise belongs.

From The Dissolving Cloud to New York City Hall. ☁️

@shahadahinc

Honored to recite poetry from my book at the annual Eid Celebration, introduced by @cmselvenabrookspowers and sharing space with my dear sister @supersahr of @blackmuslimsnow ,Honoree @abah9 from @afrikananyc fellow speaker @jamelcoyhudsonphd @dr.yusefsalaam
,and Honoree @amani from @muslimgirl

As a Black Muslim convert, moments like these remind me that our stories, our faith, and our creativity belong in every room.

The cloud dissolves not to disappear, but to become rain.

May every word we offer become mercy for someone else’s journey.

Alhamdulillah.

I appreciate so much my friends who called me to the mic this day. I remember just being so quiet for a couple days after when I went home sitting in silence. #nationalpoetrymonth

MWC Chicago extends our heartfelt gratitude to the Program of African Studies for generously hosting the sacred space for our workshop, The Dissolving in Love Experience. Special thanks to Rebecca for her gracious support and presence, and to all our guests who stepped into the circle with open hearts.

Deepest appreciation to Basirah Raheem @basirahraheem for guiding us through this powerful meditative writing journey. Rooted in her signature Dissolving Method, @thedissolvingcloud the experience invited us to gently release ego, embrace our inner child, and rest in Divine love. Through poetry, nature metaphors, and healing soundscapes—featuring pan drums, sound bowls, the West African kora, and the Divine Names Al-Awwal and Al-Akhir—we returned to the stillness of our soul’s original essence.

Thank you for being part of this sacred space of reflection, healing, and poetry. May the softness linger.
