The Domestic Machine film update! Back in February we started editing @thedomesticmachine, and we’re excited to showcase some of the work behind the film over the next few months!

A sneak peek of the documentary is currently on view at the Soft Friction exhibition at THE BLANC, alongside knitwear by Lindsay Degen who you’ll be seeing in the film. 🧶

We’re headed to the Open Hardware Summit to give a talk on the long, unwritten history of knitting machine communities, the hardware mods, the reverse-engineered mechanisms, and the collective knowledge that kept discontinued machines alive for decades. by @thedomesticmachine
