Expert Roundtables are a tried and true @thetable.az Experience FAVE and they’re here to stay for 2027 👏

She planned for 250 people. She sold 70.

And it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to her event.

My business bestie @thehaleywestfall built a community for herself and her lifelong best friend first, started charging for it even when that felt scary, and then launched The Table on top of it.

But the part I really want you to hear is year one of her live event. She was unhinged confident she’d sell 250 tickets. Then the math ain’t mathing, she had no team, and she cried pretty much all of February.

For YEARS, you’ve been asking me some version of the same question… “How do I get MORE of THIS?”

This is NOT the grand @like.minded.oc Live entrance I had anticipated…but here we are. 🤷‍♀️

You heard that right…. skirt > toilet > 🤬

A moment of temporary panic and WTF was followed by the subtle reminder of what I tell people over and over again.

BE A HUMAN BEING FIRST.

Not the performative kind. Not the here’s how smart I am kind. Not the look how put together I am kind. The relatable kind.

The kind that leaves people feeling like, “girl, same.”

The kind that has them wanting to strike up a convo with you after because you’re clearly approachable kind.

So while this wasn’t on my bingo card it offered me the opportunity to be an example for these women that we are indeed all humans first. And that feels like a mild sacrifice well spent 😉
