Expert Roundtables are a tried and true @thetable.az Experience FAVE and they’re here to stay for 2027 👏

Here’s how it works:
• attendees receive a menu of experts/topics prior to the event to rank from most interested to least interested
• in a first come first serve order, our team will then book each attendee into a total of 4 different expert roundtables (2 on each day)

Lately, I’ve been thinking about visibility a little differently.

Not as a checklist of things we should be doing, but as a question: What do I want to be known for?

Because tactics change. Algorithms change. But clarity lasts.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about business events is that the value comes from the stage.

In my experience, it rarely does.

The moments that stay with you are usually the conversations you didn't expect to have. The question that shifts your perspective. The founder who shares something you've never considered. The expert who gives you five minutes of insight that saves you months of trial and error.

That's why we designed our roundtables the way we did.

6 weeks before TTE 2025 i was having an actual meltdown. I’m not being dramatic, like a REAL one. Things were not panning out how I had expected and I was very in my feels.

In the midst of my downward spiral, a new friend I’d been vibing with on IG for a few months (never met in person, just one of those DM connections where you can tell) sends me a message.

She runs one of the largest women’s conferences in the entire midwest…like we’re talking 500+ people… the real deal.

And she tells me she’s booking a flight to come out to Arizona for the event. My brain instantly went straight to the worst place. It feels like it was just yesterday…

“She’s gonna show up, see how small this is compared to what she puts on and be like….umm did I just get catfished?” I know I know….so much irrational thinking happening in that season.

Fast forward: she came to AZ. Flew across the country alone knowing no one in the room. And wouldn’t you know - it was fine. More than fine, actually.

Afterwards she tells me the experience that I created completely shifted how she even thinks about her own event. For her, it had always been bigger is better. That’s what she thought “success” looked like (turns out so did I). She now had a fresh perspective she didn’t have before.

This year, she cut her own event in half and said it was the most profitable, most impactful one she’s ever had.

So the EXACT thing i was most embarrassed about — that we weren’t “big enough” — ended up being the whole reason this room works the way it does.

We’re not trying to be the biggest room. We’re trying to be the room you don’t wanna leave.

I've learned that the relationships that support your future aren't always the ones that agree with you.

Sometimes they're the ones who ask the harder question, who see something you can't see yet, who care enough to push back instead of just telling you what you want to hear. And I think there's something really powerful about being intentional with where we allow that kind of influence. Because who you're surrounded by matters, especially when you're building something bigger than where you are today.
