A little collection of The Good Stuff™️ as of late. For morale. 😘🫶

4) The SJM Tandem Read is still going strong. (Chaol can wiggle his toes now & he and Yrene just had “a moment.” EEEEEKS!🤗)

6) We both Burned through Burn (of the Everflame). I cried so many times.

Ooooh Minneapolis, Minnesota. One of the most unsung gems of American cities, if you ask me. And a freakin wonderful place to call home. ✨ Now that we’re back from the big trip I am ready to get into all of the fall season shenanigans that this city has to offer. 🍁 Hit me up if you wanna have a park walk, or hit up a fall festival, or apple orchard, or carve pumpkins, or go see a show, or watch a scary movie whilst snuggling a teeny tiny 90 pound lap dog. 🍂👀🤗

This is the best pasta dish I have ever had in my entire life. ✨🍝✨ You can find it at @gioiaresto in Madrid— which is also one of the best restaurants on planet earth, in my humble opinion. The “40-egg Tallarines” with fresh shaved black truffle & a boat load of parmigiana on top. 🤌 There simply are no words! 🤌 For real, ya’ll. I am obsessed. I have now been to Madrid 3 times. And I have had the absolute food-nerd-pleasure of having this pasta dish 3 times. 🤓 Cheers to Chef Davide Bonato for creating the most perfect, delicious, addictive, morsel. 🥂 I’m already day dreaming of my next visit to Gioia! 🤞🤤

Last stop on The Spanish Adventure™️ —> back to Madrid. 💃🥘 For one more night before the long journey home. We had to make it count so after finding the lodgings & returning the car, we trained back into the city center & had ourselves one helluva last day en España! 🇪🇸 We wandered the oh-so-lovely old city streets. 🌇 We were lucky enough to score a table at one of our favorite restaurants on planet earth, Gioia. (Don’t worry there will be a whole other post dedicated to Gioia!) 🍝 And ultimately, we decided to spend the last few hours of the evening feasting our eyes & hearts on one of the most amazing art collections in the world at the Prado museum. 🏛️ I still have to pinch myself about this one. This was our 2nd visit to Prado + I honestly thought I would only be so lucky as to see Goya’s Black Paintings once in my lifetime. But no ma’am! Sometimes life really is “but a dream.” ✨☁️✨

*Prado is one of the few museums in the world that doesn’t allow photography. Which I totally forgot about until a docent scolded me after getting a shot of “The Bearded Nun.” So if you wanna see Goya’s Black Paintings (which trust me you definitely DO), you gotta get yourself to Madrid IRL. (Oh darn!😉) I can guarantee ya, you won’t regret it. 😘

If you ever get a chance to wander the streets of Salamanca, Spain… DO IT!! ✨ Some Fun Facts for ya:

-The city of Salamanca is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A city of sandstone walls, art, & architecture dating back to the 1100’s.
-Wandering European streets of any kind is one of my favorite activities but this place had an extra level of magic & mystery that I just cannot explain.
-One day / night is never enough. But it’s better than nothing.
-Staying just one charming square over from THEE town square is always a good idea.
-Yet again… I love it here.

Question for you: HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO SALAMANCA? • I would love to go back + spend more time + explore further. 💁🏼‍♀️
2nd question: What are your favorite / don’t-miss Salamanca haunts? Ya know, for next time. 👻

Note: Most of these photos were taken during the siesta hours, hence the empty streets. (I promise no zombie apocalypse occurred during our travels.)

Something I love about traveling to new-to-me places is having some good old fashioned, unplanned, exploratory adventure time. Which is pretty much all we did with our short time Porto, Portugal. ✨ Stumbled upon a Museum of Photography which ended up being very cool. (I mean, who doesn’t love a good museum?!) 📸 Saw the evolution of photography from some of the first cameras ever built, right up to the modern ones & everything in between. Eric was smitten with the Canon 50mm F.95 + I was quite taken with the Polly Pocket camera and the miniatures (surprise surprise;). 🏰 The building that housed this lovely free museum (which also had exhibits by local Portuguese photographers & artists) was giving us major medieval Game of Thrones vibes. Turns out it was built in the 1700’s & used as a prison for a couple hundred years. So there ya go! 🔟/🔟 on the Good Times Meter.

I am so glad we made the spur-the-moment decision to trek into Portugal! I have officially fallen in love with this city. 💘🌆
1) This is why road tripping thru foreign-to-me countries is my favorite. It’s always an adventure & you can change course anytime.
2) Giddy up for (probably) many more sharezies from Porto. In only 2 days we stumbled upon so much!
