Five spots that go all out for Christmas — and you probably need to book today 🎄

The Shore might be the best place in New Jersey for a Christmas pop-up. Whole restaurants transformed — thousands of lights, themed cocktails, over-the-top decor that makes you feel like you walked into a snow globe.

And they sell out. Fast. Don’t sleep on the reservations!
——————————-
If you’re new here, I’m John Natale aka Jersey John. I own a real estate company here in Monmouth County along with several other businesses in the area. I’ve lived in Monmouth County for almost 40 years and spent nearly 20 of them in real estate.

Nobody knows this area like I do. It’s why I talk about real estate, living, eating and enjoying life here. If you’re planning to make a move to, from or within Monmouth County, DM me “Consult” to set a time with me to discuss it. 💬

Is the Seafood from this Monmouth County Fishery Worth ATTACKING Jersey John Over? 🍤

Is It Legit? with Jersey John ☑️

Today guys, we’re checking out Keyport Fishery.

Is It Legit is a simple concept. No scores. No ratings. Just is a spot legit and worth your time and money to check out. I’m not paid by the establishment, I pay for my food and tip the wait staff.

Here’s my breakdown:
The Atmosphere: Old school, and I mean old school fish market here. There’s a raw fish section to the left and you order tucked into the corner on the right. You’re sitting on a creek and across the street is the bay and marina. If you want real life rustic fishery, this is the spot for you. Legit ☑️

The Service: The gentleman at the counter, even right after they opened, was direct but helpful with what to order. You pay cash and then wait for your initials to be called. More or less Legit ☑️

The Food: I’ve heard from family members to check this spot out, and after featuring a couple of other Keyport businesses I got quite a few comments and DMs to check it out. Even though I’m not really a “huge” seafood guy, fried fish is my jam though. The fish here is not covered in tons of batter. After all this seafood, it was heavy on my stomach however I ate a bunch. Since the batter isn’t too heavy, if you like salt, you’ll want to add. The fries are crisp. The slaw was great. It was $53 for all this food. Legit ☑️

Recommendation: Get the combination platter. Great way to sample a few different fishes. I’d suggest going out to the park across the street however don’t let a piece of food fall off your plate if birds are around. That was INSANE!

Keyport Fishery is Legit ☑️
150 W Front Street, Keyport NJ 07735
Open: Sun, Tues-Thurs 9AM-7PM, Fri-Sat 9AM-8PM, closed Mo. Food starts at 11.

Check em out and let em know Jersey John sent ya!

What a blast this morning was on 107.1 The Boss for the Morning Show with Greg T & Rochelle 💥

I’ve listened to Greg T since I grew up here in Monmouth County so it was cool to not only meet him, but appear on the show.

It was awesome talking about social media, food, Monmouth County, real estate and even cooler seeing everything that goes into a live radio show.

I also realized that us millennials and the music from our teenage years is the classic rock station. That was a cool realization 😅

Here are the five towns that are becoming untouchable in Monmouth County 😮‍💨

Here’s what’s driving it:

Supply is almost nonexistent. When something good hits the market, it doesn’t sit.

Demand keeps climbing. Buyers are showing up with cash, offers over ask, and no intention of losing.

The commute to NYC is easy. Train, ferry, or drive, you can be in the city and back at night.

The lifestyle is hard to beat. Beaches, downtowns, restaurants, and a real sense of community.

Netflix and the film industry are moving in, which brings jobs, investment, and even more people who want to live here.

This is true for most of Monmouth County, but these five are the ones I’m seeing it in the most right now.

Which towns do you think should have made the list?

Thinking about buying or selling? DM me “MONMOUTH” and let’s talk.

Every single one of these were real sales in the ~mid 90s

$10 says we find someone in the comments who lives in one of these 🤙🏼

🎄 Five Days of “Is It Legit-mas” is coming, and I need YOUR help! Tag the places in Monmouth and Ocean County going all out for Christmas 👇

It does NOT have to be a restaurant. Anything that’s great for Christmas counts:
🍽️ Restaurants and bars with over-the-top decorations
🛍️ Stores and boutiques that go all out
🎅 Seasonal events, light displays, markets, and pop-ups
☕ Cafes, bakeries, and anywhere else that makes the season feel special

Here’s the plan: we’ll reach out to every place you tag to find out when the decorations go up, then film as early as possible. That way the content is lined up and ready when the holiday season starts.

And to be clear: we do NOT charge restaurants or businesses to be featured. We’ll tell you honestly whether the decorations, the experience, and the food (if there is any) are legit. 👀

Who are you tagging? Drop them below, and add the town so we can plan our route 👇

Belmar has come a LONG way.

A decade ago a good amount of the town was seasonal group rentals.

Today it’s giving Avon energy (& prices) with a great downtown to match.

If you’re in town or visit, are you a fan of the changes? 👇🏼

Is this Pizza Spot with a DEEP MENU One of the Best at the Jersey Shore? 🍕

Is It Legit? with Jersey John ☑️

Today guys, we’re checking out The Galley Pizza & Eatery

Is It Legit is a simple concept. No scores. No ratings. Just is a spot legit and worth your time and money to check out. I’m not paid by the establishment, I pay for my food and tip the wait staff.

Here’s my breakdown:
The Atmosphere: Not a huge spot however an absolutely on-point vibe. It’s rugged but simple inside. The pizza station is open to the restaurant. There’s an energy inside and out at the Galley. It almost feels like a (clean) dive you expect to get greatness from. Fits right into Asbury Park, especially the northwest section. Legit ☑️

The Service: The whole staff here embodies Asbury Park. It seems like there’s a lot of personalities and depending when you go and who’s there, the experience will be different. I mean that in a great way. The service is efficient and welcoming. Almost one of those you have to experience to understand. Carmine’s the man. Legit ☑️

The Food: This is one of the most recommended places I get for Is It Legit. The menu literally reads like a diner menu. The fact that everything from the sauces and dishes are scratch made is borderline insane. They do everything in house here. And you can tell. Legit ☑️

Recommendation: I genuinely mean this. You need to try exactly what I tried. The buffalo wings. The double smash. The Philly cooper. Round pie (Badlands was 🔥) and a Detroit pie (General was unbelievable).

The Galley is Legit ☑️
1313 Memorial Drive, Asbury Park NJ 07712
Open: Wed - Sat 12PM - 9PM Sun 12PM - 8PM, closed Mon-Tue
