Our daily bread.

Baked fresh every morning. Flaky salt, cracked black pepper, blistered on top, soft underneath. Tear it, share it, mop up whatever’s left on the plate.

Badger Flame beetroot, poaching low and slow in a little oil and red wine vinegar.

Sweet, mellow, barely earthy. The vinegar sharpens it up, the oil keeps it soft.

The bartender’s go-to sour. The Paper Plane.

Created by the legend and all-round good guy Sam Ross @samueljoelross. We admired his work from afar while learning the ropes, had him over for a shift at @nauticusbar, and his drinks are still the ones we reach for when someone asks for something off menu.

Bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino and fresh lemon, in equal parts. Bitter orange from the Aperol, honeyed, herbal warmth from the Nonino, bourbon for backbone, and lemon to keep it bright.

Our house whisky sour.

It's built on Three Corner Blend, our own blended Scotch from @blindsummitwhisky. Sharp lemon, a touch of sugar to round it off, and egg white shaken into a silky texture.

Mikey's favourite? Split the base with rye. Same sour, more spice and backbone.

Carlingford oysters. From our pals across the water in Ireland 🦪☘️

Served on ice with lemon, a classic mignonette — shallot and red wine vinegar for the sharp, clean finish — and our house hot sauce for a bit of heat.

Order one, half a dozen or a full dozen. A perfect snack down in the bar, or a starter up in the lounge before the chicken arrives.

Belly of lamb.

Marinated in fennel seed and sea salt, slow cooked till it gives, then finished on the grill so the edges crisp. Fennel brings a soft anise sweetness to the fat. Its own roasting juices go back over the top. Hung yoghurt cools it down. Goat horn peppers from @flourishfarmshop are done two ways: grilled for char and pickled for a sharp hit through the richness.

Nae Bevvy.

You don't need to be on the bevvy to enjoy a proper drink. Our alcohol-free section gets the same attention to detail as our cocktails: punchy flavours, made to sip slowly and enjoy in our spot.

Up the back of the boozer, there's a restaurant.

Deep green booths, etched glass, old maps on the walls and knots on display. There are big booths for the whole crew and wee two-seaters when it's just the pair of you.

There's a dartboard too, if the team fancies a few legs after dinner.

Wherever you're sitting, you're sorted.
