Should you eat dates to get ready for birth? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes, there’s real deal studies that show that eating dried medjool dates help tone your uterus and get your cervix all ripe and gooey. Perfect environment for labor!

So feel free to eat 4-6 dates a day starting around 34-36 weeks as long as you don’t have gestational diabetes. But if you’re anything like me, blahhhh 🤢

But you could put dates in your NORA tea or eat those 5 ingredient bars like @larabar

What do doulas have to do with health equity? A lot, actually.

While doulas have been a source of birthing care for pregnant people for centuries, doula care has recently gained prominence as an effective way to combat some of the inequities experienced by birthing parents in the U.S. and globally. In fact, they’re the second-highest booked provider on the Maven app.

In honor of World Doula Week, we spoke to Blue Andrew, Maven Care Advocate and Doula at Brooklyn Birth, and Qef Johnson, Maven Birth & Postpartum Doula, about what their role entails, the most rewarding parts of their work, and how Maven Doulas can provide more equitable support to all employees on their pregnancy and postpartum journeys.
