My love language 🫶🏼

I love serving women by feeding them healing foods so they can rest and bond with their baby. I love taking notes from TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) and Ayurveda when preparing foods for new mothers.

Mom win!!

I feel so blessed with the time, energy, and knowledge to feed my children the highest quality nutrient dense foods. These boys were raised on bone marrow, beef liver, and meat stock. They were raised on REAL food. That is what they know and love 🫶🏼

the intention is everything.. why do you feel drawn to take a birth prep tincture? do you believe in your body’s innate ability to do the dance with your baby? release the false sense of control, surrender to the unknown. you will meet the labor that was meant for you, to initiate you into your next season of motherhood

There’s an old saying: “It takes a village to raise a child.” But here’s what we often forget—that village needs to take care of the mother first.

The postpartum period is sometimes called the fourth trimester, and for good reason. Your body just performed a miracle. You’re healing, adjusting to massive hormonal shifts, learning to breastfeed, and running on fragments of sleep. And yet, our culture expects you to bounce back, handle it all, and make it look easy. That’s not just unrealistic, it’s harmful.

Here’s the truth: A mother who is depleted, exhausted, and running on empty cannot fully show up for her baby. Not because she doesn’t love her child fiercely, but because she’s human. You need rest to heal. You need nourishment to produce milk. You need emotional support to navigate the overwhelming waves of new motherhood. When someone takes care of mom, whether that’s a partner, family member, postpartum doula, or friend, they’re not just helping you. They’re helping your baby thrive.

What “Taking Care of Mom” Actually Looks Like

Taking care of a postpartum mother doesn’t mean asking what you can do. It means doing:
✨Bringing nourishing meals without being asked
✨Doing the dishes, laundry, and tidying up
✨Holding the baby so mom can shower, nap, or simply sit in silence
✨Protecting her rest and setting boundaries with visitors
✨Listening without judgment when she needs to talk
✨Reminding her she’s doing an amazing job on the hard days

It’s not about grand gestures. It’s about the quiet, consistent acts that say: “I see you. You matter. Rest.”

Parenting really does feel easier when you step outside. There’s something about fresh air and open space that shifts the entire dynamic. Kids who were bouncing off the walls five minutes ago suddenly have room to run, climb, and explore.

Outside, boredom solves itself. A stick becomes a sword, a puddle becomes an ocean, and suddenly you’re not the entertainment director anymore. Kids can be louder, messier, and more physical without you wincing about the couch or the neighbor downstairs.

There’s also less cleanup. Sand in hair? It’ll shake out. Mud on clothes? That’s what washing machines are for. The house stays cleaner, and somehow the chaos feels more manageable when it’s happening under the sky instead of between four walls.

And honestly, you feel better too. The phone seems less urgent, the mental load lightens a bit, and you get to actually watch your kids instead of just managing them. Not every outdoor moment is magical, but more often than not, everyone comes back inside a little calmer and a little happier.

We are still getting the hang of this whole self-employed thing but I am feeling immense gratitude for the flexibility it has given our family. To be able to show up on weekdays to help a dear friend, mother of four, during a sacred postpartum time, knowing my littles are in the care of their daddy, is bliss.

As much as you would like my dear…

I love trusting that their little bodies know what they need. My little guy pushed his stool up to the counter, opened the drawer to get a spoon and dug right into the butter dish. This golden goodness is packed with fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K2.

Turns out the answer wasn’t a color-coded rotation system with labeled bins and a spreadsheet. It was just… fewer toys. Less visual noise, less to clean up, less decision fatigue for everyone. My kids play more creatively with their ten favorite things than they ever did with a playroom full of options. Sometimes the simplest solution really is the best one.
