Markette (@marketterestaurant) is Chelsea’s new modern European restaurant with Caribbean influence, led by Chef India Doris (@india.doris ) of two MICHELIN starred SAGA and Managing Partner Alex Pfaffenbach (@thepfaffenbach) of Eleven Madison Park ✨ Inspired by India’s London upbringing, the menu reimagines British staples through bold Caribbean flavor. 🔥

Standouts include duck fat frites with caviar, salt cod fritters with habanero aioli, and peri peri chicken with snow pea salad. 🍗 The cocktail program from Chris Figueroa (SAGA, Overstory) features inventive signatures and elevated zero proof options 🍸

Downstairs, The Argyle offers a nostalgic cocktail lounge with its own creative menu. Markette brings technique, heritage, and flavor together in one fresh Chelsea destination 🌟

Jamaica recently experienced Hurricane Melissa, causing widespread damage and affecting countless lives.

This week 20% of the proceeds from The Jerk Short Rib Sandwich and Salt Cod Fritters will be donated directly to the American Friends of Jamaica, supporting relief and rebuilding efforts.

@marketterestaurant is coming in hot with a Euro-Caribbean centered menu. Chef @india.doris and @thepfaffenbach have come together to create the perfect fine-dining experience. Dine with Markette upstairs and try a few of my favorites, including some seasonal dishes. Afterwards head downstairs to @theargylenyc for a sexy night cap.

The highlights on the menu for me:
The lamb was superb paired with a crispy lamb rice and a deliciously soft naan. The Peri Peri was juicy and saucy, also one of @india.doris’s favorites from childhood. Another must was the salt fritters and the Bibb salad!! The cocktails were also noteworthy. Downstairs they’re serving up some strong, but delicious drinks. The PB & J Sazerac and The Martini Tropicale were perfect night caps. taken in Markette Restaurant by @thepfaffenbach

Been waiting for this to open and it was everything and more. The shrimp and cocktails were the standout ⭐️⭐️ and chicken lived up to the hype. Def will spending a lot of time here. Congrats to the team on an amazing spot.
