Join us weekly on Tuesday at the Tremont community garden for fun in the soil, with friends and some delicious food!
We are working hard to keep the garden thriving and productive, and would be grateful for your help!! Bring gloves, a hat and a water bottle. We will provide a refill station and snacks. No RSVP needed!

TUESDAYS IN THE GARDEN 🌱🪴

Want to get your hands dirty with us? 😍🤚 Every Tuesday from 3–5pm, we’re hosting volunteer garden hours at the @theplotgardenproject’s Tremont Community Garden, and everyone’s invited.

Come pull some weeds, plant some things, and join us as we give love to the garden that grows so much of what ends up on our plates. No experience needed! Come for a bit or stay the whole time. We’ll have Plot bites for everyone to snack on too!

“So many foods!!” There is so much joy in watching kiddos grow up in these gardens, and we want to make this possible for as many families as we can! In partnership with @theplotrestaurant we launched Free Range Kids over the summer, offering free kids meals through July and August. Moving into fall and winter, we will offer our “kids to eat free” program Mondays and Tuesdays for lunch and dinner. Come hang in the garden and let the little ones roam free!

One of our favorite things is watching something go from a tiny seed to a plant we can harvest, cook with, and eventually put on your plate. And so much of what grows here has a story, whether it started with one of our chefs, a friend, or a handful of seeds we decided to see what we could do with.

Next time you’re walking down Tremont Street or coming in to eat, stop by and see what’s growing, grab something, take it home, eat it, enjoy it. That’s what it’s here for…. although Chef Davin does borrow from it from time to time. 😉🤫🌿

I was interviewing the most incredible pair of physicians today, who advocate for Whole Food Plant Based diets within the Kaiser healthcare system. They mentioned this term I hadn’t heard before, nature bathing. In addition to the benefits listed below, they said there have also been studies indicating that it strengthens our immune systems. So it’s official, gardening is pretty much the most badass thing we can do with our time. Growing food in our communities, nourishing ourselves, and healing inside and out. If you need me, you can find me in the garden 💖🌱

I am deeply in awe everyday for the magic @_jmwaite @ @davinwaite have built on the side walk on tremont st. in South Oceanside. This is a garden where you can come grab what you need🥕🌽🌱

Love is everywhere here. You can find, heirloom corn, tomatoes, eggplant and so much more as the butterflies and the bees keep you company.

It's pretty magical if you ask me.

I have recently pledged with @natgeosociety to plant seeds to support pollinators since they are the heartbeat of our ecosystems. I can't wait to plant the seeds! taken in South Oceanside by @theplotgardenproject

from the garden to the classroom 🌱

we recently welcomed 50 teachers from Casita Center Elementary in Vista to The Plot for an afternoon with The Plot Garden Project.

over bites and refreshments, we toured the garden, talked healthy soil, healthy food, and why getting kids curious about where their food comes from matters. each teacher headed back to the classroom with simple learning materials and ideas to keep the conversation growing with their students.
