“Kindling” by The Powers Ensemble is OUT NOW!
Listen to it, buy it, stream it, share it. All of that! We’ve got CDs and tapes for sale on Bandcamp or in person (albeit the tapes are stuck in production purgatory for the time being.)

We are beyond honored to be a part of this album. We’ve been friends & fans of Mikey Powers for decade give or take and when he came to us about putting this is out there was no hesitation in saying yes. This album is pure beauty. Very deeply human and emotive music. Congrats to the @thepowersensemble we are so stoked to see what’s next from this group of talented musicians. taken in Ashville, North Carolina by @thepowersensemble

The Powers Ensemble has already taken many forms in its creation. After 2 years of slowing introducing more beautifully talented musicians into the mix we ended up with a 6 piece ensemble that we were very excited about documenting in a studio setting. Once this past winter, and once in the spring, we recorded two groups of songs as live performances at @outtherestudioswnc in Marshall NC.
Without a time frame of release, and an eagerness to share our music with our loved ones and community, we decided to host a showcase to perform this collection of songs as they were recorded on our upcoming album.
This Friday July 25th at @static_age_record_store
With support from @rodeo_walrus
And @lemonbalm.band
Doors at 8pm

The 6 musicians performing in the Ensemble:
Charlie Boss- Upright Bass
Shane McCord- drum kit, Bass clarinet
Clay White- Flugelhorn, percussion
Mikey Powers- voice, guitar, mandolin
Dave Portner- percussion
Libby Rodenbough- violin by @thepowersensemble
