A storytelling teacher once told me a good beginning is like a plane taking off. You want your people (readers or listeners) to know they’re in good hands (to anchor them) so they can settle and enjoy the ride. These examples are all contemporary. How much is already said, yet with such economy 🧡 #creativewriting #writerssupportingwriters by @thestorytellerspath

⏰ Tick tock - Writers Circle begins tomorrow! To all my On-the-Fencers out there - I feel you! I was on that fence for a looong time before I allowed myself to start writing what I really wanted to write. There was always some other priority. Something else that needed my words. Honestly, years passed. Maybe you’re thinking, “I’ll join the next one” or “When I have more time”. I was also a great putter offer 🫶What I learnt is that I had to just go ALL in and write. And now I’m inviting you to do the same - come write with us and have a draft of something by Christmas 👏 also, fall in love with writing all over again! #writersofinstagram #creativewriting #creativewriters by @thestorytellerspath

That only 5% of writing projects actually get completed. Just 5%! We need all the support we can get here. Join Autumn Writers Circle - 3 months to get a draft writing project finished. Come for the structure (we meet online everrrry week) and stay for the soulfulness & community. Truly the bestest group on the tinternets. It’s super reasonably priced and you will get loads out of it. Including a draft. I promise🫶 Link in bio! #creativewriting #writersgroup by @thestorytellerspath

A true story, a pear story 🍐It’s August. Harvest season is in full swing here in my lil corner of western Portugal. The Pera Rocha is the pride and joy of this region and I’ve just harvested my very first one, woop woop 🤗 Listen on to find out how it was discovered 💚 #perarocha #harvest #portugal by @thestorytellerspath

August things ☀️ That golden light, seed cases pop, trees yield their fruit, autumn undercurrents begin, the garden sighs or groans and it’s all somehow just such a pleasure. #august #summer #seeds by @thestorytellerspath

A true story, a fire story 🔥 Huge kudos to @association_wany_the_pooh for their dedication to the animals, and also to all the fire fighters, volunteers and officials working round the clock to contain these fires. They have my 🧡 #storytelling #wildfires #animallovers by @thestorytellerspath

After watching The Odyssey thoughts. I really want to give a shout out to the bards who handed this tale down for (likely) centuries before it was written down. I mean this story has SO much! The film lacks what I would call emotional & mythological depth & I felt slightly seasick through most of the (impressive) action sequences BUT of course if more people are coming to this absolutely epic old tale as a result of watching it, yay. #theodyssey #storytelling #storyteller by @thestorytellerspath
