Lifelong dream with trusted company. Life has been a roller coaster ride but happy that there have been moments like these. Missing the important people who have helped us get here.

Sometimes sad but always grateful. taken in United Nations by @thkreturns

I’ve become unusually productive at side quests but not so much where my focus gives me sustenance.

I grew up making music, loving films. Did some theatre in college too. Somehow ended up studying epidemiology, working in Toronto and New York and since then trying to build in Asia.

None of those things were particularly supposed to meet.

And yet, last year I found myself in Bali with the cast and crew of PELURU SENJA: The Ghost and the Gun.

Tomorrow we premiere the film KL, set in colonial Malaysia and speaking to resistance and independence.

Over the last few months, my little corner of the film has involved students, universities, diaspora communities, creators, random introductions and an unreasonable number of WhatsApp groups.

Somehow, AURAS (our company) found its way into this side quest as one of the film’s marketing partners in Malaysia. @shiaa25 and I have spent the last year building a network in South and South East Asia, mostly around healthcare @auras.health. Medical services is still at the heart of what we do, but this network now lets us work on the kind of projects we probably would’ve dreamed about, or more realistically laughed about when we were kids in Dhanmondi.

A very special thank you to brother Miks for seeing a place for me in this film, before I quite saw it myself. And to the wonderfully talented people who’ve worked on this enormous project and I’ve gotten to know along the way. @debasmitadasgupta @zidan_elz @yogagunatika @boholmgreen @ajleon @hannahmargetson @amsy_b
@misfitproductions.co @vikingsunsetstudios

There’s also something special about helping bring this particular story to Malaysian audiences during Merdeka. I’ve spent a lot of my life moving between places, and perhaps why I’ve become increasingly fascinated by stories that make people feel that a place belongs to them.

My story here shows some enchanting landscapes, new tags, Binturongs and palm civet poop coffee, DJing in Denpasar and why I’ve been less responsive recently. But sometimes, the random side quests you keep doing aren’t distractions from the larger story, they become the story.

Incredible end to 2024 with production of a scale we never imagined. I was back in Bangladesh after a long time and toured the country with an incredible team. Got to work with artists who have inspired me and others whose journey I’ve been honoured to be a part of.

Imposter syndrome was a daily for @farhim_zaman and I, but at the end of it all we can proudly say we’ve entertained many thousands.

Cricket has been a cornerstone of my passions and combining it with music was a dream a come true. Can’t begin to express our gratitude to the @bangladeshtigers. The youth are the future and they’ve been at the heart of this colossal effort.

Apologies for the absence. I hope now you can understand why.

Here’s to a better 2025.

Special mentions include @sharafnazaar @mcfaf.a @realmuza @sanjoyd @jamshedps for bearing with us.

This is why the kid wanted to grow up.

I wasn’t planning to be at the Bernabéu but I’m so glad I did. An emotional goodbye to @toni.kr8s. I think all 80,000 were a little teary last night. Danke für alles!

Game day in the city of Madrid is truly electric. The passion is contagious.

The stadium, which people describe as a spaceship in the middle of the city, is a wonder of its own. With the roof closed, decibels inside reach astronomic levels. I think both Taylor Swift and the NFL will enjoy it here.

Hey Jude, see you at Wembley!

Cases surging. Panic setting in. This holiday season brought some unexpected guests, like new COVID variants. However, our best shot against the Omicron variant is still through masking, hand washing and VACCINATING.

The vaccine gives my body’s immune system a blueprint of what it is set to fight. The vaccine also gives my mind reassurance that I'm protected, and that boost to my mental well-being is very important too. Speaking not just as someone who studies public health, but as someone who trusts science; those with the vaccine DO BETTER against the virus. Happy to speak separately about the numbers if it helps.

No prevention method has 100% efficacy but getting the vaccine is the very best thing you could do to protect yourself against severe illness from COVID. Getting it is easy, convenient and it's FREE.

For more info about where to get yours go to vaccines.gov or if you're in NJ -- go to newarkvaccinenow.org taken in New York, New York by @thkreturns

Trying to release some music, write some articles and control anxiety stemming from the thought of grad school resuming.

Join me in this journey of self-discovery, personal affliction and narcissism. I hope to keep you thoroughly entertained.
