A very hot but enjoyable day at the @eastlancsrly last week. This was myself and my Father's first official turn together on the footplate and he did some driving while I fired and made the steam for him 😊 a childhood dream come true after watching my father drive at the Llangollen railway when I was a child.

My first mainline experience completed with Ian Riley's support crew on 45407. A brilliant experience with one of Stanier's finest up the West Coast mainline climbing Shap summit and returning by the Settle and Carlisle line
