We’re Justin & Steph. High school sweethearts, husband and wife, and the two people behind Tonemedia.

12 years, almost 400 weddings, and it never gets old. We film your day the way it felt, so you can live it again in fifty years.

At home we’re a family of five with three kids six and under, so as you can see, life is full (and we wouldn’t have it any other way).

12 years of filming weddings and I still get butterflies before moments like this.

I don’t know if that’ll ever go away.

The music starts, everyone’s going crazy, and I’m running into the reception right behind the bride and groom trying to capture it all…

And I love it.

350+ weddings later and somehow this still doesn’t feel like a job.

I told the New York Jets I knew their editing software better than I did.

There. It’s on the record now.

They hired me anyway and I had about a month to make that true. Five seasons, 2010 to 2015. Rex Ryan, Sanchez, Revis on an island.

Somewhere in there a coworker named @adarce started calling me Tone, off Santonio Holmes. Then he started calling my imaginary company @tonemedia . There was no Tonemedia. No website, no clients, no plan. Years later it became the name of the company my wife and I built. I just printed the business cards.

I also spent five years in an NFL media department barely picking up a camera. It taught me story, pacing, pressure. It didn’t teach me the job I do now.

When I left, nothing was wrong. That was the tell. I was happy. Nothing in that building scared me anymore.
Being grateful for an opportunity doesn’t obligate you to stay in it. That one took me years.

Steph looked at the basement of a house nobody wanted and saw a studio apartment. I saw a basement.

She was right. One house, two units, and that room has covered most of the mortgage since 2019.

Real estate has been the quiet half of our life for years and I've never told that part out loud. So I wrote the whole thing down... the numbers, the mistakes, all of it.
