Love training solo but struggle with a consistent plan and knowing whether your doing the right thing?

Hybrid coaching gives you both.

You get a solid program + in-person check-ins to refine movement, build confidence & stay consistent.

I have a few spots going, so if this sounds like a bit of you, drop me a message to get a consultation booked in 😍

These are my clients. And im SO proud.

Badass women who decided to train for strength- not aesthetics.

They came to me wanting clarity, confidence, and a plan that actually FITS their life.

Now?
They’re lifting heavier. Moving better. Feeling powerful AF, in and out of the gym. Looking good? A byproduct of hard work and taking care of yourself.

This isn’t some “get fit fast" program.
This is months of consistent, coached progress.
We don’t chase aesthetics.
We build for longevity.

I’ve got 2 spots left for online and hybrid coaching in August...

📍Hybrid = 1 in-person per month + full weekly training plan

💻 Online = coaching from anywhere, with structure, feedback, and support

If you're ready to feel like a strong, badass version of you- DM before the last spots are gone 👀👀

Episode 3 of Functional or Just Fancy: Glute-Focused Supported Step Downs

THE EXERCISE: Single-leg supported step downs with glute focus

THE VERDICT: Actually functional. This one gets the stamp of approval.

WHY IT WORKS:
✅ Unilateral (builds balanced strength, exposes weaknesses)
✅ Single-leg hip hinge (real-world movement pattern)
✅ Glute-dominant (strength + control through full ROM)
✅ Improves balance, stability, proprioception

HOW TO OPTIMIZE IT:
❌ Ankle weights (1-3kg, hard to progress)
✅ Dumbbell/kettlebell (start 8-12kg, progress over time)

Hold weight in goblet position or at your sides.
Progressive overload = how you build strength.

COACHING CUES:
1. Upright shin angle; knee behind toe (drives glute focus)
2. Control the descent (that's where glutes work)
3. Light tap with back foot (don't slam)
4. Push through front heel, mid foot and big toe knuckle (glute activation)

Control beats load every time

Single-leg work is underrated.
Most of life happens on one leg at a time.

Train accordingly.

Are you doing single-leg work in your training?

Bonus tip at the end 👀

This weeks 'Functional or Just fancy' is all about optimising each exercise individually instead of diluting your progress by following fancy combos from a fitfluencer.

It's easy to get swepped up in these movements because it looks like you get more bang for your buck. In reality, your weakest move will hold you back.

Now dont get me wrong, some movement is better than none. BUT let's get real about what gives you the most bang for your butt (see what I did there)...

Why you keep failing 😬

Negative self talk can be the thing that makes or breaks you. Don't let your fear dictate the trajectory of your life girl! ❤️

Don't get me wrong- there are many nuance to life and things are rarely black and white. However, being able to flip the inner script and decide to see things in a positive way can greatly affect our achievements and the way we see and execute goals.

Whats your thoughts? Have you got any cool neuroscience hacks?

Ep: 1 of Functional or Just Fancy: "FUPA Exercises".READ ⤵️

⚠️THE CLAIM: Do these light dumbbell exercises instead of crunches to get rid of your FUPA in 6 weeks.

THE REALITY:
❌️You can't spot-reduce fat- your body doesn't work like that
❌️FUPAs are natural part of the female form for a lot of women
❌️Light dumbbells = not optimum muscle building strategy

WHAT TO DO INSTEAD:
✅️Want fat loss? Nutrition + calorie deficit + consistency (you can't exercise it away)
✅️Want strength? Lift heavy with progressive overload (squats, deadlifts, hip thrusts)
✅️ Like your body as is? Valid. FUPAs are normal.

Psst, anyone else find it a bit odd when men try to monetise on female insecurities?

VERDICT...
Functional or fancy?

⚠️ Just fancy.

Stop chasing spot reduction. It's not real.

Have you seen this trend?

I lied to everyone 😬⤵️

Any one else over book themselves with personal goals (especially when life is hectic?!)? For reals though, I know you lot probably won't remember. But I definitely did.

The thing is, my life has been so full at the moment, with work, house renovations and trying to keep up with my own training- adding in ANOTHER thing to do was, ill admit. A bit silly.

BUT did I make myself feel guilty? Nope, I just did it when I could and made sure it was fun.

Be realistic with yourself and training, so you dont set yourself to fail.

Whats your thoughts on Zerchers?

I personally love movements that support my real life. There is nothing more satisfying than when your strength training translates into real world experience- am I right?!

Now dont get me wrong, I love the aesthetic byproducts of my training. However, its deeper than that. It's about longevity and my independence.

Who's with me?

Ladies, let's clear something up ⤵️

Women don't need to lift lighter weights. They need to lift smarter (and heavier than you think) 🤷🏼‍♀️

Strength training isn't JUST about aesthetics- it's about:
• building bone density
• protecting joints
• improving confidence, no matter what size you are
• staying independent as you age

And yes, research shows resistance training improves stress tolerance and decision-making. So technically… it helps you cope with life better...

And the patriarchy. 💅

👉You won't "bulk" unless you lock in and train heavy, eat lots and stay consistent... for years!
👉You won't lose your femininity.
👉You'll just feel more capable in your body. And that tends to change everything.

What's the biggest myth you've believed about lifting weights?
👇 Tell me.
