POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I’ve interviewed Lazaro Rodriguez and Payton Talbott already. Two people I really respect. I waited for the third interview for so long because I wanted to keep leveling up. Worth the wait. Just interviewed Gary Wilson for 4 hours and 30 minutes. This weekend I interview James Pants. Then Jonti. And talking to my influences all started with Tyler, the Creator and Lazaro. I’m so fucking blessed. Like you have no idea how lucky I am to speak to these people. I learned so much about the music industry by speaking to Gary Wilson. I got advice from Tyler. I got was mentored by Lazaro since like 13 as he climbed almost every creative industry. Like bro you can’t buy that. And the fact these people are interested enough to give me advice or an interview so I can move my career in the arts forward. It means so much to me. Gary Wilson told me my album was cool over the phone and asked me to send it to him. Like bro? What? I never thought I’d get to speak to him, let alone in such a personal way hearing stories about lunch he had with DEVO and hanging out with Frank Zappa. We were literally back and forth about music and life and being an artist. The conversation flowed so insanely well I think if it was 2 hours longer and I had more questions he’d have spoke longer because that was such a natural conversation, we actually related a lot. And this man thanked me for interviewing him and being so kind with such considerate interview questions. Like I’m over the moon. I found out about Gary Wilson and James pants at 15. Now their phone numbers are in my contacts. by @twellregor.personal

Just got Apple Music back after months. Nigga. I got Franks 2020 album back.

LIKE AND THATS JUST IN MY LIBRARY. I CAN LISTEN ANYTIME I WANT. IM SURE YOURE GOLDEN BUT THAT PURITY TOO SOFT FOR THIS WORLD. TOLD YOU I WOULD PUT YOUR FIGURE NEAR MY LUNG HEART WAS RACIN ON RUSH WAS IT FUN? BRO ARE YOU KIDDING. ARE YOU KIDDING. “PUT YOUR FIGURE NEAR MY LUNG” come the fuck on.

I WAS IMMATURE AND INTELLIGENT AND ARTISTIC AND PRIVILEGED SO I HAVE SO MANY MEMORIES. OUT WITH FRIENDS ON THAT NIGHT. ALONE STUDYING FRENCH THAT AFTERNOON. COULDNT GET OUT OF BED THAT DAY. SMILING JUST TO SEE WHAT THAT GIRL TASTED LIKE FOR THE TENTH TIME. AND THE SCORE TO ALL THOSE MOMENTS WERE 1300 ALBUMS. I PROMISE YOU, MAKE SOME CREPES AND A FRUIT BOWL FOR BRUNCH AND EAT THEM WITH A PRETTY GIRL YOU HAD FOR BREAKFAST WHILE LISTENING TO YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC. GO FOR A DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY AND SIT OUTSIDE THE CAR ON THE WINDOW. REFLECT ON YOUR THE WORST PARTS OF YOUR IDENTITY. APOLOGIZE TO WHO YOU HURT MOST. ALL TO YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC. DOES NOT COMPARE TO ANYTHING.

I think really often about my memories. I have a good memory for my favorites. Luckily I also document and there’s this video I have of me and someone and I won’t even describe it for privacy reasons (was not a sex tape or anything) and I’ll just like watch and smile. There’s these photos where me and my friend are riding e bikes through the woods by the river. Even now. Remembering this one time I was on a boat off the pacific whale watching and I got so sea sick I never saw a single whale. Sometimes I open up and tell people stories and they have a bit of shock like how’d you do all that. I never thought it was abnormal. Never thought I was special. I thought everyone was doing the same thing. Really I thought everyone was way cooler than me and I was on some normal ordinary shit. Wasn’t really until recent I realized I’m not special but I’m definitely not ordinary and my life has not been ordinary. That’s something I can appreciate. by @twellregor.personal

(Archive) “Twell Regor” Fashion Show & Live Event

Twell Regor’s first fashion show was conceived as more than a conventional runway presentation. Across three live events, the project brought fashion, music, performance, and nightlife together into a shared environment, culminating in a runway presentation and after-party. The event attended by approximately 350 people.

Rather than separating the collection from its audience, the runway unfolded directly through the crowd. Models, photographers, performers, skaters, friends, and guests occupied the same space, allowing the presentation to move between fashion show, performance, live art, and party.

The event established an approach that would continue to shape Twell Regor: fashion as a social experience rather than an isolated object—something worn, photographed, performed, and experienced among people. taken in California, USA by @twellregor.personal

After a long hiatus (4 months): back to working on art and planning art shows. We’ll see what the future holds. In the meantime, I’m writing a philosophy book, going on runs, working on neuroscience and symbolic logic, and just got some equipment to play badminton and tennis. Cannot wait to start the photography for my art gallery.

Been inspired by #archivefashion, #surrealism with a militantly practical form, and from #streetwear to #highfashion — my graphic design god is still #paulrand

Everything down the line is gonna be crazy worth looking forward to. At very least, so I have this massive portfolio I can take into any industry I want when I’m 30-40. Don’t forgot to invest in your talents, it’s never too late! taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @twellregor.personal

At 14, I was living in a hotel. Down bad at the time. The silver lining was that I had a keyboard and I taught myself piano. 10 years later, 2 different projects under two different personas—recognized by search engines. A bunch of publications who gave me the time of day. My face plastered in the search results. So fucking cool to me. Growing up around 16-19 I was blessed to have so many artistic and intellectual friends and I never thought I’d reach any level at all. Not a stream. Not a Google search. Just nothing. But hey look at me now. I can tell people to google me now. Pretty neat. taken in The Internet by @twellregor.personal

“I’ve always had confidence. I’ve never been nervous. I’ve never had anxiety. I’ve never second-guessed myself.

If I want it, I go get it. I’m always in go mode—I just go. I don’t know what fear is.

When they talk about ‘that nigga,’ I’m him. I’m him. I’m that nigga.”

I wish nudity and sexuality were more socially accepted—more casual, less compressed, less shocking. But most people aren’t nearly as liberated as they imagine themselves to be.

The average person says, “Oh, but not me.”

No, it is you.

You’re not different, rebellious, special, or avant-garde. You’re not controversial. You’re not pushing boundaries. You’re standing safely behind people who do. You still operate within the same conforming boundaries, just with better branding.

You call yourself an ally, but where’s the evidence? What have you actually risked? What have you actually created? What portfolio exists where your convictions are visible rather than merely stated?

Our model here is an activist stepping out of lingerie and into experimentation.

 You are an observer.

There’s a difference between supporting liberation and embodying it. by @twellregor.personal

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of my first ideas for Twell Regor, I’ll be hosting another fashion show and live art exhibition focused on cinematographic world building represented by snapshots from reality with a strong focus on my new major fashion development I’ve been cooking up for years. I don’t wanna give a way too much, it’s just a perfect idea I’ve fallen in love with. So, patrons, a decade later, S2 begins with She Blushes, I’m So Happy.

I’ve always been a private person, so instead of looking back through finished work, I compiled fragments—moments from around that period. Before the shows, before the albums, before the plans became reality. Some from a year before the show, some from a year after the show. Not in order, not as a timeline, just pieces of a life that was becoming what it is now.

Theres also a “Twell Regor Fashion Show Video” on my YouTube if you want a more formal perspective of my first major art event. taken in Sacramento, California by @twellregor.personal

Some things are too simple to explain.

I built the scene for her before I understood what I was building in myself.

She was my muse in the most innocent sense at first—an arrangement of angles, expressions, textures, possibility. I designed the set, chose the lighting, thought through the makeup like architecture, trying to translate some feeling I couldn’t yet name into something visible. I thought I was just making art.

Then my girlfriend at the time kept saying how beautiful she looked. Her boyfriend did too. Again and again—she looks so pretty, you really made her look incredible. And something strange happened: every repetition landed differently. What I heard as commentary on the work began to feel like commentary on something hidden in me.

It’s embarrassing, almost, how other people recognized the gravity before I did.

I thought I was obsessing over composition. Over aesthetics. Over getting the image right. But maybe obsession has a way of disguising itself as craftsmanship when desire would be less convenient.

Maybe that’s what a muse is sometimes—not someone who inspires creation, but someone who gives your subconscious a socially acceptable excuse to stare.

I didn’t realize I liked her romantically until everyone else kept insisting on her beauty, as if they were narrating my own feelings back to me before I had language for them.

By then, the art had already confessed for me.

And Wilshire playing in the background like it wasn’t prophetic. Btw song at the end is God Give Me Feeling by you guessed it—my first ever muse.
