One of the best times of the year!!!! PYO tomatoes from @bartlettsfarm !! Wandered the fields and carried away pounds and pounds. Made soup and now making sauce. Skin or no skin? Both are just fine. I will confess that I do like to skin a batch or two for making tomato salt….but that’s another post! 😉

This left me speechless. One man, describing his evolution as a painter and artist through a bi-polar lens. Overlay the fact that he is also a comedian and you have a sharply articulate description of the bi-polar brain in action, on fire, and churning out paintings at an astounding rate that illustrates mental illness in a medium that is compelling, haunting, beautiful, surprising and completely eye-opening. Sam describes behavior and thoughts that seem impossible to imagine and delivers it all with a humor that keeps you laughing regularly and loudly as you hang on the edge of your seat.
WOW. JUST WOW. @sallyhorchow you have discovered a treasure. Thank you for your vision and wisdom in bringing this genius experience to Nantucket! Thank you @nantucket_pac for hosting this incredible show!

Dinner at the end of my day! Nantucket fridge is pretty bare, but the garden had lemon basil and some cherry tomatoes. Which were amazing over dried pasta from the pantry. Drove half the day in rain…with my little Zoe. She’s such great little travel buddy. The hydrangeas this year!!! WOW!! Soooooo nice to see. Traveled on a freight boat…which means no amenities! Hunkered down in the car and watched the torrential rain outside. Soooooo happy to be bACK on island….and to have a super simple dinner on the couch. Adventures can wait for tomorrow. Tonight is relaxing with big glass of wine….😉🍷

I have a love/hate relationship with my gorgeous garden fountain. After fixing a major leak around the hole where the cord for the pump passes through, the nodule for the pump hose attachment broke off. **sigh**

Multiple trips to Home Depot to locate tubing, silicone, and waterproof tape….around $35 in parts (and thousands in aggravation when the tube was too stiff and a little large). 🫠

Fixing it this morning with a boboli straw from my kitchen drawer…..PRICELESS. 😉

Coming out of hibernation…I’ve been focused on my health (going very well, thank you 💕) and enjoying some travels again. Currently in Türkiye enjoying time with an amazing family. Food, countryside, and company are exceptional! Started the trip by way of Barcelona where we made paella with friends and got a teaser taste of the city. Checked in with my favorite island before all of it…always and forever the best charging station for my spirit.
Jumping back into my social media with a full heart and more adventures to share!!!

Happy golden birthday!!! Turning 25 on the 25th day. Oh this boy…💕 The child who made me a mom. A baby who could convince you that you could have 12. A toddler who charmed everyone with his big green eyes, perfect recall of every dinosaur and sea creature that ever lived, and his utter fascination with trains. A young boy who loved Pokémon, showed great artistic talent in drawing, painted beautifully, and started his love of sports. A teenager who delighted his teachers with his academic capability, entertained his friends with a wickedly sharp sense of humor, and developed a real knack in the kitchen for cooking. As a young man he continues to amaze me with his passion for soccer, his infinite knowledge of teams and players, his talent for poker, his ability to explain complex technical concepts, and his grudging affection for the fluffy little white dog that adores him. Finally, I love and admire his ability to quietly continue just being himself in a world that seems to spend far too much energy on anxiety and comparison. Matthew, I am so lucky to have such an extraordinary human being as a son. “I love you, love you more, love you most”.
Have a fabulous golden year. 🌟

Oh my darling daughter…Beautiful baby, beautiful child, beautiful girl, beautiful young woman. Beautiful in the ways that really, truly matter, in all the meaningful thoughts and feelings and impulses that lie beneath the skin. Valentine’s day on a Saturday? How fabulous!!! Had no desire to go out…much prefer a cozy, stay-in-by-the-fireplace kind of dinner. Started with champagne and caviar (ooops…it disappeared before I thought of taking a picture…🤷‍♀️) and finished with chocolate. Duck breast in between. Two sauces… port wine reduction with fresh cherries and orange maple butter glaze… Did alllllll the cheesy, heart-shaped things….’cause I might call it a “Hallmark holiday” but I actually love Valentine’s Day. 💞 Yes, I folded the napkins into hearts…😉🥰

Missing the Paris markets! Reliving the enjoyment of another cooking class at the delightful @lacuisineparis cooking school. A tour through some small markets to buy provisions for a delicious dinner with duck breast as the centerpiece. Sigh…cozy and delicious. Looking forward to recreating at home…although it will not be quite the same without the stroll along the Seine…..
