Congratulations to Matt LaSpina (@matt.laspina_) on his commitment to Hood College, where they CONTINUE to add stud 2027s from Long Island.

Matt started with us 2 months ago with some lingering issues after surgery, and has put all the work to combat those. As a utility player, he features 92+ EV and mid-8s on the mound, as well as great athleticism on defense.

Super proud of this guy. Going to be a huge winter for him! I can’t wait to see what his senior year brings, as well as what is waiting for him as a Blazer!

🚨COMMITMENT ALERT🚨

Congratulations to Bailey Gelling (@bailey.gelling17) on his commitment to Hood College, adding to an already stacked 2027 class for them!

This summer, Bailey hit a new bullpen PR with us and was up to 86 in-game in July. This guy has the work ethic of a big leaguer and I’m so proud of him! Super excited to see his collegiate career through!

It’s going to be a HUGE winter for Bailey, as our goal is 88mph by the spring and to add 50+ pounds to all of his lifts.

Congratulations to Nick Teriaco (@nick_teriaco13) on his commitment to 2022 Division III National Champion, Eastern Connecticut State University!

Nick started with us in the middle of June and hasn’t looked back, gaining an average of 4-6mph on his fastball, as well as 3mph on his top fastball.

ECSU got a hell of an arm, a worker and a competitor — I’m pumped to see what this next year of development brings for Nick!

Want your elbow to stop hurting?🦾

Simply put, elbow pain torments thousands of baseball players and overhead athletes. Many put a band-aid over it by strengthening the muscles of the forearm. ❤️‍🩹

You’re not getting to the root of the issue. Why not aim to fix the problem once-and-for-all? Why not strengthen the structures of the trunk (which is what overhead athletes primarily use to rotate and stabilize)? 🌳

First game in 1,040 days, I couldn’t miss it.

Discipline is something I personally define as the ability to offset short-term gratification in pursuit of long-term goals. When the flame of motivation becomes dull, discipline is what very few people possess in order to complete their ultimate goal. From the minute I met Dec, I knew he towered over me with both his height and his ability to maintain discipline regardless of the circumstance. Two elbow surgeries (one minor and one major) in the span of six months, physical setbacks and mental setbacks, but we got there eventually.

And we will continue getting there, regardless of what happens brother. I’m so proud of you man, love ya kiiiid!

Wouldn’t have had it any other way. I’m extremely proud of the growth that this group has shown since the end of May. It brings me joy to say that I got to experience coaching even one single game during their respective journeys to college and beyond.

I know that when these guys go their separate ways, they’ll continue doing great things both on and off the field!
