A little life, a lot of hope. 🤎🐴

Meet this beautiful newborn, now being fostered and cared for by @horsesofgili at their new home on the hill — a larger, peaceful space created to give Gili’s horses the care and protection they deserve.

Horses of Gili provides vital veterinary care, rehabilitation and retirement for local working horses and ponies, while also offering free health checks for working cidomo horses and educating owners about hoof care and humane treatment.

Among stones that have witnessed more than 5,000 years of history, we remembered our friend Mitch, who helped uncover it. Today we walked the ancient paths of Mochlos, Crete—one of the largest Early Minoan settlements.

For us, this place is more than an archaeological site. It became a second home to Mitch and Ginny over the last eight years. Walking through Mitch’s trench—the project he poured his heart into—was both humbling and deeply emotional.

Now, with some of his ashes resting among the stones and sea he loved, Mochlos has become part of his story, too. In a place where ancestors are honored, his memory lives on—in every trench, every discovery, and every wave that meets these ancient shores.

His passion is forever woven into this remarkable landscape and the discoveries that will continue long after us.

This place holds such a special place in my heart 🤍
Eight years ago, I walked these paths with my mom, and returning here feels like stepping into a beautiful memory.

Surrounded by lush vegetation, the Park and National Palace of Pena rise above the Sintra landscape like something out of a dream. Wandering through the winding, labyrinthine paths beneath the dense woodland and arriving at the Palace still feels just as magical as it did the first time.

Journey into darkness before returning to the light. Beneath the enchanted hills of Sintra lies a hidden inverted tower carved deep under a castle estate — a place once built for ceremonies, mystery, and transformation. Stone staircases spiral downward into labyrinths of tunnels, grottos, chambers, and waterfalls, with secret passages leading beneath the estate to hidden gardens and concealed entrances.

Every step felt like descending into another world. Ancient, symbolic, surreal. A reminder that sometimes you have to go inward — and downward — before finding your way back to the light. #sintraportugal taken in Sintra-Portugal by @tymberlee1
