Awesome to see the Toitū: Visual Sovereignty kaupapa get selected as one of the best for this years @bestdesignawards. Magic skills from @extendedwhanau @tyrone.ohia @chelseawinstanley @desrayeveryday and the LIKEMINDS crew. Massive mihi to @nigelborell and all the incredible artist whose ideas and intentions reverberate powerfully out into the world - bold, proud and unapologetically of Aotearoa. https://bestawards.co.nz/graphic/design-communication/extended-whanau/toitu-visual-sovereignty/ by @tyrone.ohia

Proud to announce that I’ve been elected into Alliance Graphique Internationale @agigraphic As a graphic designer, this is probably the highest acknowledgement you can get globally.

Being the fifth kiwi to be elected, and the first ever Māori designer to join the ranks of esteemed AGI members (many of whom are my idols) is something I never could’ve imagined when I set out on this path.

Big mihi to the Aotearoa members for sponsoring me @practisetheory @inhouse.nz @klim_type_foundry @timothykelleher and especially to Dean Poole for guiding me through. To everyone who’s worked alongside us at @extendedwhanau over the years, we appreciate you and we wouldn’t be here without your support. He toa takitini.
