Meet Lauren Frame, a UIC graduate student whose research focuses on promoting client- and family-centered care, improving access to early intervention, and supporting families’ participation in services.

For the past two years, Lauren has worked in the Children’s Participation in Environment Research Lab (CPERL)with Dr. Mary Khetani, using mixed-methods research to explore barriers and supports to accessing early intervention and identify strategies that strengthen family-centered care.

Outside of research, Lauren teaches Anatomy and Cadaver Dissection at AHS and enjoys spending time with her kids and friends, baking, thrifting, and getting outdoors. She also considers sleep an “underrated occupation”!

What Lauren loves most about UIC is the strong sense of community, mentorship, and the opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. by @uic_ot
