ALSO.

A collaborative album by Jaco van der Merwe (@jacofundermerwe), FRNGE (@unclefrnge) and trxstxssx (@imtrxstxssx).

Between 2014 and 2016, Jaco wrote a series of poems, each beginning with the word “Also”. These poems were eventually collected and published as a book in 2020.

What began as conversations about accompanying the poetry with music gradually evolved into something sentimental for all three of us.

Created in waves over five years, ALSO is a 17-track exploration of spoken word, experimental sound and atmosphere.

Artwork by Kyle Kemink (@kem.inc) , who also designed the original book.

Released through Chamber Collective (@chamber.core) & Wêreld (@wereld_sa)

Available now on all major streaming platforms, and available to purchase on Bandcamp. Black and white cover with text reading: ALSO, Poems written by Jaco van der Merwe, Songs by FRNGE & trxstxssx taken in ALSO by @unclefrnge
