Over the years I’ve tried on a few identities.

The most recent one?

Content coach.

And if I’m honest…

It never fully felt like me.

Yes, I’m creative.
Yes, I can craft good content.

But something felt off.

Like I was playing a role instead of standing in my truth.

Deep down I knew I was meant for work that goes
closer to the heart.

Work that actually changes people.

That realisation hit hard.
Because it meant admitting I was misaligned.

And once I saw it…
I couldn’t unsee it.

2026 looks different now.

Not because of a new tactic.

Now the path I’m walking feels aligned.
Clear. Grounded. Intentional.
And I’m building something that actually reflects who I am.

If that resonates, comment “shift.” by @valsenan

For a while, I kept asking myself who I was really meant to work with.

At first, I thought it was people who needed better strategy.

Better content.
Better positioning.

But the more conversations I had, the more I noticed a pattern.

The people who resonated most with me weren’t incapable.

They were thoughtful.
Self-aware.
Capable.

They’d had wins.
They weren’t starting from zero.

But there was this quiet unsettled feeling underneath it all.

Like something wasn’t fully aligned.

Like they knew they were meant for more…
But didn’t completely trust the direction they were walking in.

I recognise that phase because I’ve lived it.

That in-between space.

Where you’ve outgrown who you were…
But haven’t fully stepped into who you’re becoming.

If this feels familiar, you’re not broken.

You’re just in a season of recalibration.

And that’s okay. by @valsenan

There was a time when I genuinely believed I just needed more.

More certifications.
More automation tools.
More business hacks.
More strategies.

I thought once I had enough knowledge…
enough systems…
enough frameworks…

I’d finally feel confident.

Like I had the right to speak.
Like I actually knew what I was doing.

But here’s what I didn’t realise.

Confidence doesn’t come from stacking more.

It comes from clarity.

I wasn’t lacking ability.

I was unclear about who I was…
how I make decisions…
and what direction actually fit me.

So I kept trying to borrow confidence from external things.

Courses.
Tools.
Trends.

But none of that solved the real issue.

The issue was direction.

Once that became clear, something shifted.

I didn’t need to prove myself anymore.

I didn’t need to over-learn or over-build.

Clarity did what effort never could.

It stabilised me.

And when you’re stable, self-trust follows.

Where in your life are you adding more… instead of getting clearer? by @valsenan

I used to think disappointing results meant I wasn’t good enough.

Which obviously meant I wasn’t qualified to run my own business either!

Yep. That’s how my brain worked. LOL.

My approach?

Plan. Execute. Get results.

And when the results didn’t show?

Beat myself up.

Question whether I was good enough.

Wonder if I should just give up.

Then life slapped me with a six-week time-out.

And I realised something.

A disappointing result isn’t a verdict on who I am.

It’s information.

Something I can learn from and adjust.

So now I’m learning to:

Plan. Act. Observe. Recalibrate.

Sounds simple?

Getting my impatient ass to practise it?

DIFFERENT STORY. HAHA.

And if you’re building something on the side, hoping it’ll become your main thing someday…

Remember, one disappointing result doesn’t mean your sidequest has failed.

Maybe you’ve just hit another pothole.

And that’s something I’m learning to navigate too. by @valsenan

Consistency wasn’t my problem…

Desperation was.

YEP, you read that right.

Before my six-week break, I was obsessed with posting consistently.

Why?

Because I desperately needed my business to work.

So every post secretly had a job:

Get a client.

MAKE ME MONEY.

Basically…

I was asking Instagram to save me.

LOL.

Then life decided to put a hard stop to all of it.

A personal emergency happened and I had to shift my focus.

I posted WAY less.

And something weird happened.

Several of my recent posts crossed 1,000 views compared with the few hundred I was getting before.

Friends started sending me WhatsApp messages.

People reached out privately.

Conversations happened outside social media.

Was posting less some magical algorithm hack?

No bloody idea.

And I’m not going to pretend it was.

What I DO know is this:

Instead of posting for the sake of the algorithm, I’ll be posting when I genuinely have something to say.

I don’t need to manufacture three posts a week because some “goo roo” says I’ll disappear into algorithm hell if I don’t.

Sometimes I’ll post.

Sometimes I’ll disappear.

Sometimes I’ll have LOTS to say.

And sometimes?

I need to go live a little more first.

Consistency wasn’t my problem.

Desperation was. by @valsenan

I’ve not worked on my business for the past six weeks.

Crazy eh?

Know why?

Lif… shit happened.

Period.

Personal emergency.
Money problems.
Plans thrown out the window.

I got the whole works thrown at me at once!

And honestly?

I wanted to vanish.

I couldn’t give a damn about content, leads, clients, algorithms or whatever I was “supposed” to be doing as an entrepreneur.

I was trying to survive.

That’s it.

Before all this happened, I was putting tremendous pressure on this baby little business of mine to work AT ALL COSTS.

I needed to prove to myself that this wasn’t a mistake.

That this WAS IT.

The business that would take care of me.

But life had other ideas.

It forced me to stop thinking about six months from now.

Or five years from now.

And deal with TODAY.

One foot in front of the other.

And weirdly enough?

That gave me more clarity about how I want to build this business.

Sometimes I want to share something because I experienced something worth talking about.

Sometimes I want to disappear.

Sometimes I want to work like crazy because the ideas are flowing.

And sometimes life needs me somewhere else.

So yeah…

I’m slowly coming back.

But I think the biggest lesson from the past six weeks is this:

I thought I needed to save my business.

Turns out, I needed to stop expecting my business to save me.

And now?

We rebuild.

Here’s a truth bomb from me…

Life has been pretty shit lately.

I’ve been angry, exhausted, frustrated and bitter about some of the things happening around me.

And for someone who’s made personal development a priority over the past few years…

You’d think I have it all figured out and under control.

Fk no!

In the past, whenever I felt this way, I’d immediately:

Think positive.

Speak affirmations.

Practice gratitude.

Find the bloody lesson in all of it.

All so I could quickly get on with life and show the world that Val’s all good.

Plus, being seen as a coach means I should have my shit together, right?

How am I supposed to help other people when I can’t even help myself?

Recently, though, I stopped trying to make myself feel better.

I admitted I was angry.

I admitted I was bitter.

I admitted I was f*@king tired of dealing with all of this.

No affirmations. No positive self-talk. None of that mambo jumbo “feel-good spiritual BS.”

I allowed myself to feel how I felt without rushing myself out of it.

And something weird happened…

No, my situation didn’t change.

But I felt lighter.

My head got quieter.

I could hear myself think again.

And slowly, I started seeing what I needed to do next.

Long story short, I’m still human.

I get pissed.

I feel bitter.

I feel low.

And instead of quickly pushing those feelings away so I can show the world I’m some kinda untouchable superhero…

I’m learning to give myself time to feel them.

It’s okay not to be okay. by @valsenan

This shot is a full circle moment for me. Years ago when I first decided to become a pro wrestler ( yea it’s been quite a while ago…)

I remember clearly how I was chatting with @sayn.rh on what kinda character I should be playing.

And while we’re were using the Facebook messenger to chat he casually mentioned, “Bro, you should be an Asian Johnny cage.”

That made so much friggin sense!

Not only was he one of my favourite mortal kombat characters he’s also helluva cool.

And so that’s where I began to build the character for @imshowtimesg

Which brings me to tonight, where I never did think I’d face off against him for a championship belt.

Life has a funny way of bringing everything together eh?

Because I was mentally, physically and spiritually exhausted.

And best part was, I didn’t even realise it.

I was functioning normally.

Showing up. Responding. Moving through the day.

But inside, something was off.

I couldn’t think properly.

I was missing deadlines and overlooking things I’d normally catch.

I wasn’t sleeping properly. Then some days I’d crash in the middle of the afternoon because I had nothing left.

And on top of that, I was still absorbing everyone else’s lives.

People talking about what they were going through.

Expecting me to listen.

Expecting me to hold space.

And then it hit me.

F*ck la. I did it again.

I’d somehow become everything for everyone else while barely checking in with myself.

Again.

And this was happening while I was carrying my own stuff around work, money, decisions and everything else going on in my head.

So I disappeared for a week.

Took a short trip.

Stopped posting.

Stopped engaging.

Stopped talking about work.

It helped.

And something else surprised me.

Life kept moving without me.

I didn’t need to be available all the time.

I didn’t need to show up at every gathering.

I didn’t need to keep giving everyone access to me when I had nothing left to give.

So right now, I’m making things quieter.

Fewer gatherings.

More one-to-one time with people I genuinely want to see.

Less noise.

More space.

I don’t know how long I’ll want this season to last.

But right now, it feels like what I need. by @valsenan

That’s the kind of work I help people with.

Not by telling you what decision to make.

I help you separate what YOU want from all the noise around you, so you understand yourself more clearly and decide from there.

A client paid me for a YEAR AND A HALF.

Funded my overseas vacations.

I ended up in rooms with big wigs.

My team WON GOLD in an international competition for the campaign I directed.

And ever since then, Human Design is the foundation on which I run my day to day life with.

Here’s what I wish more people knew:
Human design allows you to be the REAL you without sacrificing or blowing up anything in your life.

You get to do the actual thing you’re compelled to want to do without worry.

And yes, the fears and doubts will come up.

Loud.

Often.

You just need someone to show you how to MANAGE them so they don’t affect you.

Easy peasey.

DM me if you want to understand how this applies to YOUR design.

That’s what Human Design gave me, and that’s what I give you now.

When the doubt crept in (“Am I doing the right thing? What if I lose everything?”), I stopped trying to logic my way out of it.

I used my authority.

Self-Projected, which means I needed to speak it out, hear my own voice, and ground myself in my truth, not everyone else’s noise.

That’s when the magic happened!

My first premium client closed himself in front of me.

I didn’t have to convince him.

He just said yes. More opportunities flooded in.

Invites I didn’t ask for.

Conversations with the exact kind of clients I wanted.

All because I stopped absorbing the noise and started trusting my energy.

Here’s the lesson: The noise amplifies when you’re onto something real.

Acknowledge it. Say: “I recognize you.”

Then push it aside.

Listen to your authority.

The noise isn’t yours.

That’s how I managed the mess, and that’s what I help you do too, without the wreckage I went through.

If you want to understand how this applies to your design, how your authority works, and how to stop absorbing energy that isn’t yours, DM me.

I’ll explain.
