During New York Tech Week, entrepreneurs from Morgan State, Howard, North Carolina A&T, Bowie State, and other HBCUs will compete in the first-ever HBCU Pitch Competition in Times Square—putting their startups in front of investors, industry leaders, and hundreds of thousands of visitors.⁠

The event aims to increase visibility, access to capital, and opportunities for the next generation of Black innovators.⁠

@Morganstateu grads are carrying the legacy forward. 🎓

They launched Venture for T.H.E.M. (@venture4them) in 2024 to support HBCU founders and students with mentorship, workshops, and non-dilutive funding, already backing 20+ entrepreneurs. Then they created Fund.FWD (@fund.fwd), an AI-powered app that connects HBCU students and alumni to grants, scholarships, and investor opportunities.

It’s available now on iOS and Google Play. This is what it looks like to invest in your own. 👏🏾

I’m proud to share that I’ve been named to HBCUniverse’s 30 Under 30 list in Campus & Collegiate Excellence! ✨

Representing the University of the District of Columbia means so much to me. This honor reflects the work, growth, and purpose behind my journey and the family, mentors, friends, and community who have supported me along the way.

Packed house for the Maryland Startup Networking dinner!

Student founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, mentors, and business leaders from across Maryland joined for an evening of networking, mentorship, food, and startup celebration.
