Happy birthday to my oldest and dearest friend, Mica. ❤️

We have enough memories to laugh for a lifetime. Football games, school plays, a million dances, high school, college, dating, marriage, pregnancies, babies, surrogacy, road trips, sleepovers, sneak-ins and sneak-outs… nearly every version of me has a memory with you in it.

We grew up together and then grew into women and mothers together. Life may not let us see each other nearly as much as I wish, but time and distance could never change the place you hold in my heart.

My birthday blessing for you is that this next year gives back all the love, laughter and goodness you have given throughout your life. I hope you always know how grateful I am that I got to grow up with you.

Here’s to all the stories we’ve lived, the ones we probably shouldn’t tell 😂, and all the ones we still have left to make.

14 months is the difference between you and me. Other than that, we’re basically the same. 😂

Dark humor, kind check-ins, afternoons spent wandering the cheese section at Whole Foods, dances, weddings, concerts, roller rinks… and more funerals than we ever should have had to attend together.

If there’s anyone in this world who can read my every move and know exactly what it means, it’s you. When I feel misunderstood or confused, you have a way of bringing me right back down to earth. You’ve always been my rock, and I truly can’t imagine going through this beautiful, complicated life without you by my side.

Your birthday will forever be one of my favorite days. I hope this next year is your best one yet, and more than anything, I hope today you feel just how appreciated, loved, and lucky we all feel to have you.

With great pleasure, we pulled in our estate fruit. Since 2019, we have been coharvesting the four varieties grown on site- Nebbiolo, Cabernet, Merlot and Tempranillo. Named originally after my father, Reidar, and now my daughter, this label is very sacred to our family.

Special gratitude to our vineyard consultant, Chava @sgomez16oficial , and Ulysses, our vineyard manager for maintaining our beautiful spot.
