Little Pink Phone…

Did you know Wedgwood produced a Jasperware telephone back in the 1980s?
Available in pink or blue,
I vote pink for the win.

My little museum of telephones
will be on show at Maunsell Wickes, Paddington, Sydney
Opening Saturday 17th October
@maunsellwickesgallery
Pop in for drinkies from 3 - 6

The Telephone…
One of mankind’s greatest inventions, fantasticised and forever memorialised in clay.

My little Museum of Telephones is currently making its way to @maunsellwickesgallery in Sydney.
Fingers crossed they will arrive intact, packing and shipping these babies is particularly anxiety inducing.

I kinda love this little collection.
I hope you will too 🤍

The iconic cobra phone… the first one-piece telephone designed in 1957.
Reimagined here in orange, ceramic, with 18-karat gold.

Brrrrring!
Brrrrring!

I’ve had a bit of an obsession with making telephones of yesteryear…
In celebration of great design and the genius of human invention.
In remembrance of a time when technology knew its place, being incredibly useful, though not ruling our lives.

My little telephone museum will soon be making its way to @maunsellwickesgallery for October by @violetcooperrrr

Sweeeeeeet

Who doesn’t love an iced vovo?

Well, actually, while I loved their iconic look, I didn’t much like the flavour….
Until I dug up my grandma Elsie’s old recipe and made them myself.
And then suddenly YUM.

Am now mildly addicted,
but then I just LOVE biscuits.

This big iced vovo is the last in my series of big biscuits, which I confess, aren’t pottery at all… they’re a complex mix of papier-mâché incorporating all sorts of extra bits & bobs and they took me flippin ages to make.

Still on show @hahndorfacademy until the 26th September, along with a snappy little zine
“the 4 Biscuiteers”
made in collaboration with everyone’s favourite photographer @brihammond
Featuring the aforementioned iced vovo recipe and more…

YO!
it’s the YO-YO

Apparently it’s a South Australian classic, not known anywhere else. I thought everyone knew the yoyo, but no no.

A plain sort of biscuit… good for a dunk in your tea or a base for your cheesecake or just stick it in your face cos you want to.

This one is too big to stick in your face though. It’s designed to hang on your wall and pretty up your home.

nice

You’re nice 😊

It’s nice to be nice

A nice opening do for BISCUIT this weekend @hahndorfacademy as part of @salafestival.
Thanks everyone for coming.

Much discussion was had on how to pronounce this,
“nice” or “Nice”

It’s however you want, luvvies.

This collection of big biscuits to hang on your wall will be on show for the month of August
No they are NOT ceramic… i made them with magic.
Currently enjoying maintaining an air of mystery about how I made them, for now.
I will tell all no doubt.
Eventually

Thankyou @brihammond for the fantastic photography… I always feel better when I have seen my works through her lens. by @violetcooperrrr
