Love this man. His heart, his humor, his love, his commitment to us and his friends and family. Always up for adventure and is our (heat) rock. And he plays a mean keyboard and a beautiful piano. So lucky to share this life with such a human! We love you more today @goldlikejoel #happybirthday #goldlikejoel #wanderlustaroundtheworld #willaquinn #themightywillaquinn taken in Venice by @wanderlustar

for those who don’t know the story of how we ended up in LA, it was my sister Maureen, aka Mo, 2.5 years my junior, who asked me as she was months away from graduating university with a nursing degree, “where do you want to live?” I had recently uprooted myself from Boulder, Co., and found myself living in San Francisco, wondering the same question. LA might seem like an unlikely target 🎯 for most (especially to those born and raised in Virginia), but it had all that we were looking for: great weather 🌞, amazing hospitals 🏥, a lively music scene 🎶, beaches 🏝 , mountains ⛰ , hiking trails 🏃🏼‍♀️, bountiful options for budding food and coffee aficionadas 💕 🍕🍣🥟🍝🍜☕️, shopping 👠 👜 👗💄, endless possibilities for us to find ourselves, and, since we would be moving there together, family 👯‍♀️. after some arduous and somewhat hilarious home hunting, we found ourselves a cute little 2BR apartment 🏡 in Santa Monica and off we went!
it’s been 11 years (!!) since we first celebrated your birthday as Los Angeles residents @mopdiddy and I am ever so grateful for your willingness, in awe of your courage and perseverance, appreciative of your sense of humor and honesty, and amazed our paths and continued adventures have brought us to where we are today — living the dream 🌴 with @emvdavis @travelswithmarley @evilkimchee @goldlikejoel in #losangeles #california ! I really don’t know where I’d be without you, and feel so lucky to have you #sister #bestfriend #family #nurse #foodie #musiclover #dogmom #bride #wife #roadtripper #adventurer #snowboarder #roséallday #bossbabe #wonderwoman
raising a glass 🥂, giving you a no-touch hug 😝, and wishing you the HAPPIEST of BIRTHDAYS because you deserve all the happiness in the world 🌎! thanks for putting up with us 😘 taken in Los Angeles, California by @wanderlustar

10 years • 53 🌍 countries • 40 🇺🇸 states ... TOGETHER! So hard to believe that much time and adventure is possible in what feels like such a short time! 💃🏼🕺🏻 If you had tried telling me 10 years ago that anything was possible, I’d probably have laughed at you. But here we are, and I wouldn’t change a thing! advisory ⚠️ ask @goldlikejoel and I for a travel memory and we might give completely different answers. 😆

picking up where @goldlikejoel left off, here I am exploring a side street in #bucharest #romania on the way to an amazing Michelin-style dinner on the layover there. (thank you @google flights for the suggestion!) highly recommend this city (and the restaurant!) for a visit 🇷🇴
