Incredibly blessed to be amongst one of the 8 brands chosen to be apart of this year's @ultabeauty MUSE Accelerator. I spent the weekend at ULTA's Headquarters in Chicago, meeting the CEO and networking with other incredible brands. Not only do I receive a $50,000 equity free business grant, but they are providing me with invaluable knowledge as I take the first step in being a retail partner with Americas biggest beauty retailer. And as a wellness brand, I'll be a trailblazer in their emerging Wellness Shop. Thank you so much to the incredible team and partners at ULTA and for giving emerging bipoc founders a platform to thrive! Well this was fun! For Women's History Month, I was invited to the Harvard School of Education to lead a workshop on Disruption: the psychology of changing culture, commerce, consumers, and categories. Mary Kay. Canva. Glossier. Spanx. Fenty. Bumble. Beyonce. Barbie. All built by women, for women, or both. They didn't just enter markets, they redefined them. In a world where it's never been easier to create, noise is louder than ever. But real impact changes behaviors, resets expectations, and forces entire industries to move. And that's the exact lens im building @femigist through. Constantly inspired by the women who made history before me and had the audacity to not just imagine what's possible but to create new normals.
