Meet our finalist @weirentheo ✨🔥 :
Fashion designer, Indonesian born and raised, Milan based and trained, In 2022, debuted Leander Wei, where he creates wearable identity by retelling Indonesia’s inherent stories through fresh eyes and new vision.
Celebrating Heritage, Deconstructing Traditions, and Modern Reinterpretations.
Weiren showed how deeply cultures could mix without being assimilated but on the contrary, living in a constant enriching dialogue. Traditional sarongs, ethnic details live together along with western fabrics and shape through skilled tailoring and knitwear. Giving deadstock materials a second life, and Indonesian Sarong a second chance.
