The summer I played disc golf 🤣🤩 never in a bajillion years did I think I would be out here on these streets (woods) playing disc golf multiple times a week, but here we are folks! 😏 I love being outside and Houston loves playing disc golf and turns out they’re the same thing 🤪 by @whataboutwalker

I made a post last year called “30 things I’m taking into my thirties” and it was really fun so it’s a tradition now. I just turned 31 and here is a list of quick thoughts (in no particular order or sequence!)

During one of my many flights last week, I took out my notebook and wrote down thoughts from this past year, what is currently shaping me, who is currently shaping me, how I’m treating myself, how I’m treating others, what I spend my time on, what I focus on.

Getting older is privilege I don’t take lightly. I love being alive (most of the time lol) but it takes focus and redirection to keep my head up and navigate the world.

I am so grateful to the people who have shaped me and for the woman I have become. I am overwhelmed by the amount of support around me. When I start to feel rushed about “I should be doing this” or “what is X person going to think” or “I need to figure this out now”, I slow down to remember that this truly is the life I’ve been dreaming of. I don’t do everything right the first time around, but that first time really shaped me. The mistakes are how I show up more evolved…and the people/places/lessons along the way are breathtaking. Life is wild!

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday and thank you for your support. I notice and celebrate it all!

January was wild. Joined a mastermind, my business is growing which is exciting and overwhelming!, I’m moving again (hopefully the last time for a bit), Raleigh is fun, I love living near my mom, I love my yogurts bowls, I love going for walks with Emma and friends, I love my yoga studio and it’s really special to be a regular at a growing small business, we walked for peace with monks because SOS! I love seeing everyone’s wrap ups from the year!
2025 was my first full year in Raleigh and doing this review was so good for me because I often find myself feeling like I didn’t do enough. Not just in the year. This is a daily thing that I’m getting better at as a human and entrepreneur.
There will ALWAYS be something to get done and I’m working on reminding myself that all the fun I allowed myself to have this year, all the rest, all the pushing to go to networking events and meet new friends, all of it was worth it. And it was aligned.
I know that my business grows when I grow. As I evolve my business becomes more mature, rooted, and steady - so that I can be a better support to my clients.
If you’re being hard on yourself, maybe take some time to truly reflect on everything you accomplished - including the time you took to rest! Looking forward to 2026 and taking each day as it comes!
