What makes FANAS so special is that we are deeply grounded in our Filipino cultural heritage and guided by the spirit of Kapwa—our shared identity and interconnectedness—and Bayanihan—coming together to serve and uplift those in need.

These values were at the heart of our success at the AANA booth and our sold-out karaoke fundraiser. Everyone stepped forward, helped one another, and represented FANAS with pride, generosity, and unity.

Our Filipino culture keeps us grounded and reminds us why we serve. Together, we will continue building a stronger future—not only for our Filipino colleagues and the next generation, but for every Filipino and non-Filipino member of our growing FANAS family.

Thank you to our volunteers, Executive Board members, and everyone who helped make this incredible weekend possible. Your time, energy, teamwork, and support truly brought the spirit of Kapwa and Bayanihan to life.

Opening doors to nurse anesthesia, one skill at a time.

Columbia DNP Nurse Anesthesia students welcomed SHPEP scholars for an interactive introduction and simulation day featuring ultrasound-guided IV basics, airway management and intubation, and suturing techniques.

More than a day of hands-on learning, this experience fostered mentorship, connection, and inclusion while introducing future healthcare professionals to advanced practice nursing.

We are incredibly grateful to Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia (DNA) for the opportunity to partner in this inspiring mentorship experience and for their unwavering commitment to creating pathways for future CRNAs. Programs like these continue to open doors, provide guidance, and empower the next generation of nurse anesthesiologists.
