The launch pairs the book — a collaboration between Rutledge, and Harriet Roberts — with a photo exhibition of Roberts' original photographs from the book, alongside three nights of talks and performances.

Built as a visual and narrative counterpart to the record, the book visualizes Rutledge's music and lyrics with Roberts' photography as Rutledge spins city stories the way country legends spun rural ones — bodega owners staking their claim, subway workers underground, Brooklyn heartbreak with a tote bag on its shoulder. Haunted, humorous, and quietly devastating. by @xtianrut

‘Freaky Wilderness: “Immeasurable Heaven” | Psychedelic Rock For the Soul” by @melinoe.macaria.mourningstar is out now at www.rockoracle.com. This psychedelia laced sound is created by @michaelcguggino @poptones13 and @xtianrut who make up @freakywilderness. From our music journalist:

“Lyrically you will find resonance with the anxiety of our modern world and the existential crisis of survival in these concrete jungles. Freaky Wilderness does a fantastic job at expressing deeply powerful divine/psychedelic messaging with their “Heavy Psych, Cosmic Fuzz, Acid Western” Sound. You would not expect anything less from our Gemini Front Man and Lyricist”

Give it a read and give them a listen.
