The people you are HAPPY FOR and LOVE in all seasons of life. The people you laugh, grow, drink, play, hang, and travel well together. I love you and wouldn't be here without you. Life lately. 💖

Living my best life with people who love me for who I am, accept my faults, those who see me, those who laugh with me, people who want to grow with me/do life with me, and surround me with good energy. I accept what life has given me and choose to walk away from anything that doesn't propel me into the next chapter of my life. I am blessed.

We have a 5 year old! My heart has grown bigger each year with my nephew in my life 💖 and I am so proud of how creative, spunky, and caring he is. I am so happy to share May as our birthday Month and Zodiac year 🐭 We were meant to be 🥰. I love you so much and can’t wait to see what the year ahead brings! I’ll come visit soon 💕

I made myself a @canva shirt for an upcoming event I helped plan for May 3rd for our first KC Employee American Asian Native Hawaiian Pasifika Heritage Month Celebration. I wanted something to start conversations and to represent me, instead of the usual assumption that I'm Filipino 😒

SE Asia was once Indo-China, a French colony, and the French called our people, Montagnards, mountain people or highlanders.

I know who I am. I know I am different. I know that my parents thought it was safer to raise my sister and I to read, speak, write, and sing in Vietnamese instead of our own native language, but even then, our family was still looked down upon for being different, no matter how much we tried to blend in.

Jarai - my people, my native language. Over the years, I've learned some of the language but barely enough to get me by without my parents help. 😞 And to no fault of my parents, I've never been around enough Jarai people to really practice.

Happy Birthday to my favorite little human and nephew, Owen 👩‍👦He's grown so much in the past year, talks up a storm, plays hard and is enjoying being disagreeable and wild 😂🫠 Owen loves cats, ducks and is a mini-smoothie obsessed gym bro. He also enjoys letting his buns hang out while potty training 💀
